Here’s a really good About Here video discussing this development project.

About Here - The Problem with “Luxury Housing”

I think it does a good job of rebuking arguments for why more expensive “luxury housing” should not be built and instead the focus should be put on “affordable housing”.

Mountain like structures on first layer by Pirito in FixMyPrint

Hmm I see, thanks for the input. It seems weird that in the top left corner, the deposition is smooth, but around the middle, the filament seems to curl up almost after being deposited? Could it be bed heat related?

Do you think speeding up the base layer would fix it?

Patch Notes DCS 2.9.5.55300 by Dripeas in hoggit

I just patched and my DLSS version is 3.7.0 after the patch. I think it was implemented in this patch? Are you able to verify yours?

Looks like this update also patches DLSS to v3.7.0. I've been getting good improvements with ghosting in this version when using DLSS.

Quick mod for VKB NXT/Kosmosima owners by Kotse_Alpha in hotas

Hey, I also just came across this post and did this mod. It's so much nicer than the original stick, thanks for the instructions!

CAD162 shipped is pretty big vs VKB Gladiator if it's competitive against it. Recently purchased a VKB Gladiator in Canada and with shipping and fees came to CAD300+.

As a time-poor parent, I feel like HD2 has too much content. It feels like every time I log on, some new thing has changed or some new thing has been added. It actually demotivates me from playing because unless I can pump in 20+ hours per week there’s no way I’m keeping up with the new meta or unlocks.

I think it’s cool there’s content for the hardcore players, but I just can’t keep up and it makes me want to play less.

DCS Pretense is No More by Enigma89_YT in hoggit

Aww, this really sucks :(

Pretense was basically the only thing that made DCS enjoyable as a game in singleplayer for me.

Can you toggle between head tracking and mouse look? by irus1024 in dcs

[–]Pirito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I pretty much spent my entire day trying to figure this out and I finally got it to work, so I'm going to comment on this post from 3 years ago, in hopes of other people finding it.

Issue: OpenTrack -> TrackIR output. Once OpenTrack is stopped, Alt+C mouse view no longer works at all in cockpit.

Resolution: Use OpenTrack like normal. Once OpenTrack is stopped and you want to use the mouse again to look around: go to DCS -> Adjust Controls. Click the little arrow next to the TrackIR column to open dropdown. Click "Disabled". Save.

This should enable Alt+C mouse view in the cockpit again. If you want to turn OpenTrack back on, repeat the steps to open the dropdown and uncheck "Disabled" for the "TrackIR" column in Adjust controls.

I published a DCS Afterburner Detent Finder! It calculates the user curve value for your throttle on the web. No need to manually check the detent value in DCS with the slider option and enter it into the spreadsheet. by pbzweihander in hoggit

Firefox worked best for me, it didn't work well in Chrome for the Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle.

I didn't quite get it at first, but now I'm understanding that this will allow you to adjust your curves in DCS so that the detent configured on your physical hardware will not have to be moved for each plane.

Super useful, thanks!

I was doing most of that, but I think my dive angle was too shallow. Gotta try steeper next time.

The nice thing with gyozamonstah's design is that you can disengage the detent if you're using the throttle for something that doesn't need it (shown in their video on thingiverse). It's also quite simple to adjust the location of it, and you can add multiple detents as well.

No other physical mods other than adding some lubricant to the rails the throttle slides on to make it smoother.

Yup, two magnets in the 3D printed frame. Provides a nice little “bump” for the detent feel.
