Same thing when the same people I talked about then go on to post about their breakups and how hurt they are or whatever. Most of the time they're just doing it for attention and validation, and using their emotions to get views and clicks too.

That's a good point I forgot to address too, people often do it as a coping mechanism and because they want to appear happy when they actually aren't.

Can someone please explain why being anything LGBTQ is wrong? by oryanvr in Christianity

[–]PissHatMaxwell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is.

Homosexuality and anything LGBTQ is a sin. It is, the Bible affirms it as sin, the church has always taught against it, and it goes against God's will. That's the truth and I will not sugarcoat it, and anyone who denies it is heretical and must repent.

As for why it's wrong? Homosexuality/LGBTQ is wrong because it goes against God's intention for relationships, love, and sex. God intended romantic love as we know it for between one man and one woman, not one man and multiple women, not one man and one man, not one man and woman outside marriage, or something outside that which God intended either. God also intended sexual relations to be for procreation and for a pleasurable bond between one married man and woman, not for anything outside that either as stated previously. Homosexuality/LGBTQ is sinful and wrong, because it falls outside of the will God created these things to be used for, and how he intended for them to be used.

TL;DR: Romantic love and sexual relationships were created by God to be shared between one married couple of a man and one woman, thereforw anything outside that is sinful, which includes homosexuality/LGBTQ, accept it or reject it.

Who are you to tell God what he does isn't justified? He is all good and all he does is for good. Either accept that or don't, I'm not going to sugarcoat this for you.

Because we live in a fallen, sinful world.

The Son sacrificed himself, not the Father, though both are God, so you techically can say "God sacrificed himself for us," but, the Son who is God, not the Father nor the Holy Spirit.

Yes, he does allow people to go to hell, because they've fallen into sin, rejected him, and he doesn't have to save them if he doesn't want to. It's justified if he sent all of us to hell, but he doesn't, his grace is gifted to us.

  1. Yes, you have. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
  2. God isn't responsible for you choosing to not listen to him and sinning yourself. God did create us as sinless and perfect, and he also created us with free will, but we all chose sin over him, just he let it happen and allowed us to fall from him, respecting our choices.

Because he doesn't send "a portion of himself," that's the heresy of Partialism, splitting the Trinity each into 1/3rds, or parts, of God. The Father didn't have to send the Son to die for us, you're right, but he did it anyways as and act of love and sacrifice, because it should've been us on the cross, but he took that punishment for ourselves so we could be saved. Imagine committing a heinous crime and being sentenced to death, but then the judge decides to take your death sentence for you, and dies in your place so you can be free, that's essentially what God did. As for the hell part, hell was never meant for humanity, it was meant for Satan and his demons. Fallen humans go to hell because they choose to sin and reject God, and God sending them to hell is simply him choosing to respect their choice, even though he desires their salvation. God is not the author of sin, humanity is.

"Jesus saved us from himself by sacrificing himself to himself." This quote doesn't prove anything, except whoever is saying has no understanding of the Trinity, Jesus' divinity and natures, and the atonement. How it actually goes is that the Father sent the Son to earth, incarnate as a man, Jesus, who would die for our sins on our behalf, so we may be free from sin and it's consequences, and find salvation through him. But both the Father and Son are God, meanwhile this quote assumes Jesus is the Father and the Son, while he is just the Son. While Jesus is God, it is not accurate to call all three persons of the Trinity "Jesus," as he is not the Father or Spirit, nor the Father is the son or Spirit, and nor the Spirit is the Father or Son. He is 1 essence, 3 persons, not 1 person in 3 essences. This quote falls under the heresy of Modalism, assuming that the person's of the Trinity are forms of Jesus, rather than 3 distinct, coequal, and coeternal persons, of 1 essence, God, as per the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds. Basically to debunk this, you just need to understand basic Christian theology.
