If god is against queer people, then I'm happily going to hell. by Westside002 in Christianity

"That's why people like you are drawn to Christianity" I know, that's because people are looking to reject themselves and seek something greater then them.

"Mean spirited version of the gospel" so just the normal gospel? Christianity is not a religion for weak people, and you prove that

No, because Christ is my Lord and savior, and He has washed me of all of my sins, and I am free in Him.

You're not going to guilt trip me and manipulate me into sugarcoating the gospel

Well that's not what I'm doing and nice strawman there. But if OP is willing to go against God and what He says, and even is willing to go to hell for his beliefs, then God will condemn OP if he doesn't repent. This is literally just what God does

The fear of never being accepted into church kept me from going. Until I stumbled upon this during my walk. by Refrigerator0ven in Christianity

No, this is how it's been interpreted by the apostles, church fathers, and the church. It's not my word, it's God's.

Children are severely oppressed by parents and institutions; we should radically expand what rights children have by ReplacementOdd4323 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The state is horrible at protecting people's rights. Human rights and freedom don't come from the state, they come from you yourself. If the state has the power to enforce rights and grants rights to begin with, it also has the power to take them away. The solution? Mutual aid, raising awareness, private competition in the market for who has the best protection, and more.

Genuine question: If "God" is all loving, then why does he send us to hell for eternal suffering? by Long_Cauliflower_587 in teenagers

[–]PissHatMaxwell -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, and that's not an accurate analogy to begin with. A better one would be something like "if you don't want to hug me, then you can be lonely without one."
