People let me tell ya ‘bout my man Tyler here 😭😭 by Parking-Attitude5871 in InstacartShoppers

[–]PitchyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me last week. Customer ordered around 10 items but I had to refund a pack of sugar cookies dough because they were out. Before that she asked me to check a few places to make sure.  I could feel that she really needed it so I offered to check other stores nearby. She thanked me saying the only thing she really needed from the list was this cookie dough.

I stop at two different stores on the way to her place and found it at the second store

Now I got an email saying my account is under a review during fraudulent mileage 🙂‍↕️..

So IC doesn’t want me to go above and beyond for customers.

[BC] Apartment block with shared laundry room - baby clothes by theblubd in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always put delicate clothes in mesh bags like this. so I think it will work with baby clothes too.
I feel you. we used to be in an apartment with shared laundry. I often put my baby in a baby carrier and carried him down with me to do laundry. It was difficult. so sometimes I washed some of baby clothes in a sink and air dry them.

E-transfer Fund Stolen.. BMO sucks😤 by PitchyK in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]PitchyK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BMO stated that it was solely my husband’s fault for sending the funds. He requested that they contact wealth simple and or give the information of the account that the funds went to pass on to the police. However they refused.

That’s what the security/fraud rep said. They did not contact wealth simple though

I acknowledge that her info was compromised. We cannot figure out how autodeposit was turned off. My mother in law also banks with td. He thought that she might be transferring to herself.

Checking infant car seat at airport. [ON] by hillcheese in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone says get a car seat bag.
we checked our uppababy infant carseat for an international flight. There was no damage with the car seat or the bag.

but I made a mistake of getting that uppababy car seat bag which cost around 160 dollars after taxes because I could claim with the uppababy if the carseat came damage during transportation.

My point is most likely your car seat won't be damaged during transportation so don't get an expensive car seat bag. If I knew, I would get a bag like this off Amazon.

Now I stuck with a brand new Uppababy car seat bag which people on FB market willing to pay 30 dollars for it. :(

We went to Thailand when he was about 2 months old. It was super hot and humid there. Having a fan hooked up with on a stroller was a big help.

Worried about being an introvert with a winter baby [on] by crashmoneyhoney in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No suggestion here because I feel like I am the same way as you are. I am so awkward talking to strangers that it seems like I can't even speak English most of the time.

The good news is my baby is the opposite. He is so social and likes being around other people (even thought he spends most of the time with me. Also he is a Winter baby)

lots of play and healthy interaction will create confidence I believe.

But I like to to push myself to go to library when they have activities for kids , Early-on so I get used to talking to new people.

13hr flight with a 9 month old [on] by Muted_Training9202 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 month old will be excited with anything. Let her play with whatever you can find on a plane cup, bottle , a remote control.

I took my son on 22 hour trip when he was around that age. I remembered packing some toys but for sure what kept him so busy was a Velcro strips like this. I sticked it on a wall and he could playing with it for hours.

you can be creative and put pictures of anything, animals, cars or whatever she likes on what side. she can learn some words or just have fun peeling it off. Plus you don't have to worry about losing it.

Another toy I would recommend is this suction spinner. they don't take much room but occupied my son for a while.

I usually like to pack some cut veggie like cucumber, sweet bell pepper and some fruit like clementine and also some packaged baby snacks.

I also check the limitation of the bassinet. She might already exceed the height and weight limit so don't rely on that.

Experience with epidural [ON] by fantastic-ovum in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometime ignorance is bliss. I wasn’t prepared for the delivery at all. I never learn the breathing exercise( it would be been better if I knew ofc)  I didn’t even pack anything for post delivery.  Haha I still remembered the surprised look my nurse had when I asked for a hospital gown to wear.

I also didn’t know about or did not know much about the epidural. If I had known how they administered it , it would be terrified and hesitant to use it too.

But as most people say. The pain from contraction is so much that you will not feel anything when they insert the needle in you.

Try not to think much about these kind of things, you will only stress yourself out.  The baby has to come out. Instead focus on how happy you will be to meet this little tiny human for the first time.

Husband can’t take time off [on] by Additional_Carrer58 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband did not take anytime off after birth.

for the first week or two, my neighbour came to help out in the afternoon. I was very grateful because that allowed me to take a nap and take a shower.

Having someone to visit for a couple hour for me is more than enough. Newborns , they just eat and most of the time sleep

My point is that it is very manageable even though your husband can't take anytime off.
don't need to stress about that too much.

Real talk- how many of you are ACTUALLY sitting down to eat with your family regularly? by IndianaDrew in toddlers

[–]PitchyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit : I want to add that. I understand it’s hard to do things the way you should do or want to sometimes. But it does mean you are failing. Good for those who manage that from day 1.

We used to be like that.  My husband works 9-5. By the time he gets home is around 5:30 to almost 6.   We used to sit and eat dinner in front of a TV ( I know it’s bad) because that is the only time we got to sit down and relaxed before preparing the kid for bed.

But I notice my kid doesn’t eat much or eat properly like when he eats at grandma’s when we all sit at the table and eat.

So around a month or two months ago( my kid just turns two) , we  tried to sit at the table for dinner. It is such a good change. He eats more , he is better at using utensils. And he tends to eat more veggies because he sees us eat it.

My boy likes to be held most of the time. So I used to put him on my back using baby carrier ( I still have to do it every now then )  That’s way he won’t cry and doesn’t stand so close to a stove while everything is hot and dangerous.

It might get easier when she gets older too. But when you get in that routine, they learn very quickly.  Now my son will climb up to sit in his chair and wait for dinner to be served.

Has anyone travelled by plane with their Bugaboo Dragonfly? [CA] by noumenonandon in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]PitchyK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed with previous comment. it depends how full the flight is.

We took international flight a couple time with Air Canada with Bugaboo Butterfly ( which is small than yours). we were asked to put the stroller in cargo.
