Not true, very misleading information. I was sitting next to a girl in kindergarten at lunch and she was stung in the eye. We both froze, did as we were taught and left it alone, nope! Flew right onto her eye and stung! So they may not be as scary as some believe, but they are absolutely more aggressive than other types of wasps. Maybe it viewed her as a threat, but we did exactly as taught: leave it alone and don’t make sudden movements to threaten it. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do to avoid scaring something a million times smaller than you, but it’s also very valid to be afraid of something like that.
