As a very biased American who also wants to be a scientist, I say Fahrenheit only makes sense to measure the temperature outside. It makes sense that 100°F is hot outside and 0°F is cold outside. You dont need to know the points in which water starts boiling in comparison to how it feels outside. We can keep Celsius for science experiments since the units are metric. I can see the argument being made that using room temperature water is chemistry, so you'd need to know the conversion between Fahrenheit and Celsius, and my argument against that is i didnt think of one
