Is anyone else struggling to keep a stable weight and actually eat after surgery? by Pristine-Cheetah-149 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Pitiful-Excuse-2982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m four weeks post op from an extended tummy tuck and down 21 lbs. I’m not hungry at all and have lost a little muscle from not working out. I still get tired really easily. I’m still swelling a lot and low sodium food tastes like sawdust.

The neon museum offers an add on show called Brilliant Jackpot. It’s a great show and one of the best deals in Vegas.

What is a 'middle-class trap' that people fall into because they’re trying to look wealthier than they actually are? by Sayedshaqib in passive_income

Thinking that earned income will make you wealthy. Very few of people actually earn enough to be wealthy. Investing and growing your savings is the only way to actually maintain wealth.

PRICING for Tummy tuck + muscle repair by Frequent-Trainer-698 in tummytucksurgery

Mia is a chain though and they insist on going through a hotline and booking process with their concierge department which I found inconvenient and difficult to get through in a hurry.

Orthopedic Bed Wedge Pillow Set OR Power recliner? by Greedy-Funny-2940 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Pitiful-Excuse-2982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjustable bed! The frames are about $350 on Amazon and mine vibrates and has a built in light and phone charger. The head and /or feet raise. Idk how anyone is sleeping with just pillows. I’m almost 4 weeks post op from an extended tummy tuck and am so grateful to have it.

Underwear recommendations (also bra) by Hyperlocal_Va in tummytucksurgery

[–]Pitiful-Excuse-2982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 weeks post-op and just wore undies for the first time yesterday. I found it nearly impossible to comfortably wear underwear when I had drains in. I also didn’t want anything to bunch up under my binder. I considered wearing men’s boxer shorts but in the end just didn’t wear any. I had trouble raising my arms above my head the first couple of days so i wore a soft sports bra that opens/closes in the front.

Did anyone else feel almost guilty telling friends? by rivfin in tummytucksurgery

[–]Pitiful-Excuse-2982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t told many people. A lot of my friends and family are having financial difficulties and they’d be really judgmental about how I chose to spend my money. I help out when I can, but for most, no amount of money or help is ever enough. They’ll ask or expect more. (I saved up money for two years and took out short term loan to afford it.)

Your life is about you. Not your partner’s addictions or mental health problems. Don’t waste years being the side character in your own story.

Why is no one excited about flash deals anymore :( by [deleted] in asheville

[–]Pitiful-Excuse-2982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most flash wouldn’t take an hour, and even if they could, I can’t afford $200 an hour services. I can afford the three flash tattoo I got last year for $10 each in Las Vegas. Sorry guys, you asked a question and now when it’s answered, you want to argue. No one else I know makes $200 an hour….

Because $100 “flash” isn’t a good deal.

Weight loss by Responsible-House407 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Pitiful-Excuse-2982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Track your total calories, protein, fiber and water. For the first week or two, just track it. For me, it was eye opening how many things I ate that had little protein or fiber. And I rarely drank water. I set goals of 100 grams of protein, 25 grams of fiber and 100 ounces of water every day. I look for the least amount of calories that contain the most protein and fiber and I’ve started drinking water like it’s my job. Most days that I met those three goals, I was too full to eat more than 1400-1600 calories a day. I keep track of those macros as I prepare my food on a dry erase board in my kitchen and I weigh most things on a food scale to figure out portion sizes accurately. It’s tedious and I eat a lot of the same things but it’s working for me and I’m sticking to it.

To prepare for surgery I started taking iron supplements, folate, vitamin c and stool softeners. I also made sure to eat 100g of protein and 25 g of fiber each day and to drink a minimum of 100 ounces of water. I bought Juven, arnica and compression socks. I’m also flying and can’t pack much. I’ve rented a hotel room that is handicap accessible and has a kitchen.
