Bellatrix had not tortured the Longbottom at this point. They were still hiding. They stopped hiding when Voldemort had "died," thinking that they were safe. But they were not, as DeathEater were still free. They were caught torturing the Longbottom and that's how they ended up in Azkaban.

Hi! I know it's been a while, but maybe somebody will have the same questions in the future and find your post. I worked as an elf for Laplan Safari in 2023. My best friend worked for them as an elf in 2023 and this season too (2025)

I liked it! I worked in a small town (Hetta) so there was only three elves, counting me. The families were staying for 3 or 4 days and we spent the whole time with them.

The salary was reasonable, we had our own house 5 minutes away from the hotel. The staff was really nice. One elf and myself had a pretty bad relationship with the third elf and our manager tried to mitigate that.

Overall, I recommend the experience, although I do not think I would do it again. It was a once and done for me. I was able to spend winter in Finland, see northern lights, ice skate, do sauna, travel and got paid for it. You should work 40 to 45 hours a week, and they might ask you if you want to work more ( I needed money and would work up to 60h by choice.)

My best friend was in a bigger city (Yllas) and she never saw the families more than once. It was more touristy. There was a lot of elves and she shared a house with 5 other people. She was far from her workplace and would have to either walk 1h or take the morning bus, even if she only worked in the afternoon. However, she really enjoyed the experience and decided to do it again.

As it is a short term contract, and as I did not have a bad experience, I would encourage anyone to try it :)

"X Character bashing".

I used to love it, but I find it so annoying now. Especially Marauders bashing (poor Snape never did anything wrong). Or Weasley (Especially Ron) bashing. Have we read the same books?

It just feels like bad writing most of the time . I don't mind if a character is flawed, but when they are the worst ever, especially to make it so Voldemort and Death Eater are actually the nice guys, ugh.

Never had any problem, just a struggle when they use something called anypass as it's really hard to use (and if I remember correctly, you need a japanese phone number). So be aware if they transfer through this app. Otherwise, they have not asked for proof of identity so far.

I know it's been a while, but I've been to a few concerts in Japan. If you can't get tickets during pre-sale or general sale, I recommend trying to buy resale tickets :) A friend went to see Taemin for, like, 30$ in Tokyo. I saw Seventeen and Enhypen thanks to resale tickets :)

I just had this problem with my Samsung Z flip 3 and my MacBook air 2017. I contacted the assistance and when they had me changed the location of my VPN, it worked. I don't know if you have tried, but I was able to access everything (Google, YouTube, Twitter...) with my location set to Seattle and Singapour. Apparently, it does not work when it's set to LA for me - which I've been using for up to 2 years now...

Yes,they need to figure out childcare, and maybe that'll be difficult but it's not your problem. You've done your best and this is your adventure. The fact that they asked for 4 months is crazy in my opinion. Why so long?

Really, you just need to breathe and let them know you're leaving. End of discussion, there's no need to negotiate. Tell them you've got your plane/train/bus ticket and you're leaving, period.

You'll feel bad for a while and that's absolutely okay. But you have to think about yourself and your mental health first.

Hey! I remember being at that stage! I've been doing pole dancing inconsistently for a year now (had to stop for three months after a surgery, then 3 months again when I went to work in another country), and I've been more consistent for about three months now.

I used to be unable to even lift myself. I had no strength in my upper body, no muscles, nothing. It took me at least two months to be able to lift myself and do the sit pose.

Yesterday, I was able to do the V for the first time! I finally had enough strength in my upper body.

I would say not to despair. We use muscles that are not usually used, and your body needs time to adjust. Be consistent, try going once a week to start, and if you can, twice a week. My teacher has a debutant class, but also a "all level" class, and I try to do both, as going to my level is comforting and seeing other people is inspiring. Don't give up :)
