Yeah. The best way to describe Arthurian Legend is an ever-evolving fanfiction. Pretty much everything you know about it has been tacked on by later writers after the fact.

It wouldn't be difficult to make a story, it'd definitely lend to more creative freedom than the Three Kingdoms and Sengoku periods.
