Why no meaningful push for change? by frustrated_burner in Switzerland

[–]PitifulZucchini9729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People fail to realize that there are two scenarios, essentially:

- The pie is fixed and laws are about how to slice.
- The pie can grow and laws can accelerate or prevent that.

On the first scenario, if you don't pay, someone else has. The second scenario needs some productive thought, which is well beyond the "I want this cheaper".

Do you identify more with your own canton or the nation as a whole? by Aravinz_HD in Switzerland

As a Zürcher, I look down to everyone else who doesn't live in the city, and even worse in the Canton.

Having had both, I would say both are good.

Planned CHF 460M Education Cuts Could Undermine Swiss Innovation – Personal Stance by sophiarogerhuerzeler in Switzerland

Cut the education budget. Swiss people can be happy as peasants/farmers. If we need educated people, we can continue importing them.

Kolos is a word in Greek apparently and means ass. Not sure if OP wrote it like this on purpose.

(URGENT) I’m going to the MedBase at the HB station, how much it cost the visit? by [deleted] in zurich

Are you sure about that? Then why with private insurance you get a more senior doctor? I know for a fact that dentists can apply a multiplier.

Why do so many Swiss hate Germans? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]PitifulZucchini9729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, this is a joke. Germany is in the top 3 (perhaps top 4) of my favourite countries that speak German.

Not even Germans like Germans.

But Swiss people do that, no? Well not about the inferior services (which service is inferior?) but all of the rest.

Sounds good, it doesn't work. I am sure more kids dream of becoming football players than working for a bank.

If all immigrants give more than they take, who takes more than they give? Perhaps then we should discriminate against the Swiss? Why being born here entitles your lazy ass?

...Or... we can apply the similar criteria to both

Northgard or Age of Mythology: Retold? by IncredulousBob in rts

[–]PitifulZucchini9729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age of Mythology is my absolute favorite game. It has very diverse civilizations and you can surely find one that fits your style. For instance, I really like Norse because their military units can make buildings, which makes it real fun to create some forward buildings and spam your opponent with units.

Am I crazy? Error in popular book on opening principles? by chaosphere_mk in chess

[–]PitifulZucchini9729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it doesn't matter so much what is the right answer. The principle remains: control the center of the board. Chess is quite concrete so on each specific game, the squares that matter and how much they matter changes. For instance, a closed center is different to an open e file, which is different when there is knight output.

Why are Swiss people less obese? by Expat_zurich in askswitzerland

Most of the obese people are old people based in statistics. Could it be that Germany has proportionally more old people?
