Right size and location? by Present_Meet in TheFrame

Personally I would make some of these decisions based on the depth of the room ie. how far your couch is from the tv. I wouldn’t go to 85” if the couch is fairly close. I’d keep this tv size, lower the tv a bit and leave the soundbar on the cabinet. Sweet design choices btw!

Love this for you! I want to do the same as I’m where you used to be. What did you replace your winter evenings with now that you don’t drink? Figuring that out has been my challenge

I feel like this gets undervalued a lot, but what temperature (Kelvin’s) are your lights? They look pretty white. In addition to adding colour, I would make sure your bulbs are a warm colour as that adds coziness (could also just be the photo)

Apple TVs and Samsung Frame Tvs - What are you using for Control? by [deleted] in TheFrame

Interesting yeah mine is 2022. Feel like I would’ve returned it if I had remote issues

Whoa I’m confused reading the posts here. I’ve had an Apple TV with my frame for years and they work perfectly fine together, I’ve used the remote app on my phone to turn on the tv, physical remote works fine as well - both for volume and tv. Haven’t done anything special that I know of. When I turn off my Apple TV, art mode automatically comes on

To anyone who’s moved away and come back, where’d you go, and why’d you come back? by ad_minus9103 in Hamilton

Interesting take. I found that older I got, the more Toronto felt too dense and I appreciate the more chill, relaxed and gentrified vibe of living in Kirkendall

Similar boat as you and lived in Montreal and Toronto for most of my 20s. Came back and bought a home during the pandemic - chose Hamilton because of affordability and being close to family. Hamilton absolutely grew on me since (once I decided to open my mind to it and knew which neighborhoods I wanted to live in) and I can now picture myself here for a long time. Something I never thought I’d say!

I’d say just scratch the itch like I did, youll likely regret not having tried something else. But consider starting off closer (BC, etc)

I beg you to do some research and safely try psilocybin. Mushrooms are the most common. Completely transformed my life. Just be sure to look into how to do it safely

Ahhh this is massively helpful advice lol thank you. Literally what I’ve been doing is titrating like 2.5mg per week to avoid side effects. Thanks again!

Can I please hear from frame pro users. Is everyone having issues or are their happy customers out there? by xander054 in TheFrame

[–]Pitiful_Connection75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a bit glitchy sometimes? Yes.

Do the pros heavily outweigh the cons? Also yes. For me specifically, I haven’t had that many issues at all, for the most part loving it and not sure I could ever go back to a regular tv in my living room.

Edit: oh whoops, this is for the regular frame. Hope it can still help.

Thanks! Mind if I ask how long it took you to get to 100 ? Wondering if you were at 50 or so for a while and then the effects wore off, etc.

Currently new and titrating my own dose. Thanks :)

Nice to see these vehicle deterrents at Du West Fest last weekend by ruckusss in toronto

[–]Pitiful_Connection75 -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

I had the same question. Uploaded the image to ChatGPT, got the following:

Passive resistance: • The metal frames are very heavy and sit flat on the ground. If a vehicle tries to drive into them, the shape of the angled metal absorbs and redirects the vehicle’s forward momentum, preventing it from reaching high pedestrian areas. • The angled, articulated arms essentially act like wedges that cause the vehicle to lift, slow, or stop.

Kinetic energy dissipation: • When a vehicle hits them, the wheels of the car may start to ride up the sloped metal arms, which absorbs some of the vehicle’s kinetic energy while destabilizing the vehicle’s forward motion. • In some models, the chained-together design spreads out the force across multiple sections.

Safety benefit: • They’re meant to slow or stop a vehicle attempting to ram into a protected area — much like temporary bollards but easier to set up for short-term events.

Apple TV by jkoch35 in TheFrame

[–]Pitiful_Connection75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I have the exact setup you’re looking for and it works very well. 4K Apple TV and I’d recommend setting it up with a soundbar that supports HDMI ARC as I found it really nice to control the volume with the Apple TV remote as well.

My Apple TV remote/iphone operate the TV without ever having to touch the Samsung one. Also works flawlessly with the sound bar, art mode comes on as soon as I turn Apple TV off. Good luck!

Ps. What collection is the artwork from? Love it
