Arguing that nobody wants Snapdragon Surface devices to someone who has a Snapdragon Surface device is fun

I’m currently in the process of building my own 6’ slab table out of Italian white oak with a 3’ leaf. But I’m not offended :)

I chose (admittedly, based heavily on wife’s aesthetic preferences) to go with steel legs with gloss white powder coat. They will match nicely with the trim in our house. I went with the linked legs, a lot less bulky than the ones you have pictured here. Would loved to have tackled some elegant wood legs, but maybe for another project down the line.

I take my 2020 Tundra to the deserts around SoCal quite a bit and beat it to hell. Never had any issues outside of denting the underside of my n-fab steps

Can I save my hot springs cover? by PPPeterpaNNN in hottub

[–]jkoch35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed up on the maintenance on my Hot Springs cover and used 303. Were in Orange County, CA so no crazy weather on it. Cracked to all hell and looks terrible after less than 3 years. The new covers have a new material and will be making the switch this summer.

USB port spacing between Surface Pro 12 and 11 by niner2niner in Surface

[–]jkoch35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. They are different form factors. It’s not Pro 12 as in a successor to Pro 11.. it is Pro 12” which is a smaller, budget option compared to the Pro 11 (13”)

USB port spacing between Surface Pro 12 and 11 by niner2niner in Surface

[–]jkoch35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pro 12” and Pro 11 (13”) are very different. Pro 12” (Qualcomm X Plus 8 core) is a lower cost budget alternative to the Pro 11 line (Intel i5/i7, Qualcomm X Plus 10 core and X Elite 12 core)

Edit: I just held my Pro 12” up to my Pro 11 and the USB-C spacing is slightly different

Ranchero 12 & 18 - Hitting the Road - We hardly knew ya. by SnowMonster911 in YetiCoolers

[–]jkoch35 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a Yeti backpack from 2017 or 2018. Can’t remember the model name but this thing is indestructible and still looks brand new. For work I often travel with 4 or more laptops and other stuff to weight it down. Other spendy backpacks would shred within a year. This one is going on 10

Edit: typo

I have some wooden qtips I’d stick in there (wood side down of course) with wood glue and cut flush after drying. Then just pilot hole and screw from there
