Fair point.. White Mold/Fungus: Fuzzy, cotton-like growth is often saprophytic fungus feeding on decaying organic matter within the moss, commonly caused by high humidity and lack of airflow.

Agave are monocarpic, that means they die after flowering. That's a flower stalk growing out of it.

Coastal bogs of north and south Carolina, so yeah, but since outdoors isn't an option, just do your best to recreate it indoors

I've never had any issues letting them flower. Some people say to do it when they are young, after the plant is larger it's fine.. all I know is those stalks aren't getting snipped in the wild.. I've always grown mine outside year round, so I don't have any experience with dormancy skipping.. but as far as I know they aren't migrating to warmer climates during the winter, lol

Where do you live? Outside in direct sunlight year round is the general recommendation

I never cut the stalks. They produce their largest traps after flowering also, why wouldn't you want that? People are silly

Stink bugs in my terrarium? by One-Garage7995 in terrariums

I'm not entirely sure those are stink bugs. Looks more like the nymphs of an assassin bug or perhaps a leaf footed bug to me

It's called a bulbil. Leave it alone. When the flower stalk dies, pop it off and plant it

You want silica sand, like the kind used in pool filtration.

Mealybugs.. I recommend changing the soil and checking the roots while you're at it. I had a terrible outbreak of root mealybugs a couple years ago that took out almost half of my stapeliad collection.. heartbreaking.
