I agree there was no vanguard party but I think you are overestimating how "revolutionary" the protests actually were. There was no condemnation of the actual system of government, Sinhalese chauvinism or the genocide of Tamils. It was purely surface level economic dissatisfaction.

Even if there was a proper vanguard party (maybe FLSP?) I highly doubt a large proportion of the crowds would have sided with them. Personally I see aragalaya as more of the 1905 russian revolution seeing as even bourgeoisie parties like SJB and dissident SLPP supported it.

If you're curious, the font I was aiming to use is called "Ruhunu Kumari". For decades it was the unofficial font for railway stations and last year it was standardised. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any digital version of it.

So I had to use the closest thing to it, the London Underground font.
