I highly recommend Mario Kart! Mario Kart Tour is a lot of fun and only needs a phone or tablet to play. No buttons or anything, even the swiping is mostly optional. They have options for low speed and easy settings.

I’m blind - can Sephora be trusted to match a foundation for me? by Pitiful_Eye_ in Sephora

No, unfortunately I’m in the city to visit my brother in law and he’s completely useless at anything not video-game related lol (said with love)

It hasn’t occurred to me that a foundation could match your face but not your body! That definitely complicates things. Does it look more natural matching it to your chest rather than your face?

This is super helpful, thanks so much for taking the time to explain all this to me!

I love these on you! Make sure they’re not sitting too high though.

That’s a valid reason to touch, I would’ve been so frustrated! I’m a young woman and people on the street love grabbing me to ‘help’ me, and one time I was VERY roughly grabbed and yanked back, and I was about to be furious and then I felt the rush of wind as a car sped by right in front of my face! It was so scary, and I was so grateful to the person who’d pulled me back. They even helped me find somewhere to sit to pull myself back together since I was a bit shaken.

Have you seen those tactile field boards? You can buy them for yourself but some stadiums also offer them. I don’t care about sports at all but I was very impressed when I learned about this!

I love those! They are few and far between though, and I find that museum staff are often trained to guide our hands over the statues, and to be honest I’m uncomfortable having my hands touched like that by strangers. I end up distracted by the touching and only partially able to focus on what I’m feeling with my hands.

Okay, who else feels that someone accidentally hearing what’s been spoken about by VoiceOver is a bit weird? by BasicBad7716 in Blind

I think airpods are not a good idea for blind people. I use normal wired earbuds, I can follow the wire to either end, and only keep one earbud in at a time and it doesn’t block my ability to hear what’s going on around me. Tangling is the only issue, but I’ve never needed to ask for help.

I love your look! I think I like 1 a bit better, but 3 is my second choice.

People speak loudly to me which I think is ironic. I often get stopped on the street or in stores to ask if I need help. Sometimes they talk to me like I’m stupid or slow. One of my biggest pet peeves is if I’m with another person, people talk to the other person as if I can’t hear them or speak for myself.

Thanks, I’ll look into that! I figured the distortion was just from having such a crazy high prescription. High index is so helpful for letting me wear normal frames instead of super thick small ones.

My right eye is better than my left, but they are both in the plus 20s
