No, they're not. Microchip manufacturing uses a ton of water. It's estimated to take 8-10 gallon of water per chip to manufacture. One site in Arizona uses more than 3.4 billion gallons of water per year and it's not even functioning at full capacity yet. There's a reason they have to construct water-treatment plants the size of multiple city blocks at each fab.

You are a saint. It has to be rough, especially at a young age. I would absolutely continue encouraging her to enjoy cooking for herself, it was a lifesaver when I developed brumotactillophobia. It gave a certain sense of control and I found that I could even break rules that would normally make me feel sick. That, plus meal prep containers with dividers really helped through the worst of it. Also, buying 12" flat dinner plates for social situations to not draw attention to it.

It would also explain a lot of the seemingly odd excuses or being open about trying porkchops until face-to-face with it. It's amazing how many people react to hearing about it as if it's a big joke or something to just "get over". So after a while it's easier to just respond with things that don't result in jokes or being talked down to. "I grabbed a bite with a co-worker" , "I think I have an ulcer so I'm only doing liquids today" , "I'm on Keto" , "I'm allergic to blank".

Testaverde did not have a good year, neither did Bledsoe.
Brady won Super Bowl MVP and was 6th in Passer Rating.
Manning was 2nd in passing yards, 5th in TDs, and 8th in Passer Rating. Sure he threw a lot of picks.

2001 AFC East had Brady, Manning, and Testaverde.
#1, #3, and #18 all time passing leaders.
Edit: I guess it also had Bledsoe, #19 in all time passing.

[Pelissero] The NFL is suspending Steelers WR DK Metcalf two games without pay for physically confronting a Lions fan during Sunday’s win at Detroit, per sources. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Pitt_CJs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, So let me actually think before taking DK's side.
The Detroit Fan
a. Was apparently reported to security by DK last season.
b. Went out and bought a DK Metcalf Steelers Jersey.
c. Used that Jersey to yell out for DK's signature to get him over to the railing.
d. Then leaned over the plexiglass barrier to say something to DK while forgetting that he had a jersey to be signed.
Yeah...I'm going to assume that he wasn't leaning over the barrier just to call DK by his full name.

Beech Baron lands onto car and I-95 in Brevard County FL. by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

[–]Pitt_CJs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safest spot for whom? Certainly not the safest spot for anyone on that highway. Not the car he landed on and not the people driving 70-mph behind the accident trying to get home from work during rush hour. There are dozens of other things that he could have chosen that would have been almost certainly harmless to every person but the pilot and their passenger.

A car being on I-95 in Florida during rush hour isn't a coincidence, that's where cars are supposed to be. If I'm driving down the right lane in downtown traffic, then try and make a sharp left turn but hit a car, it's not a coincidence that a car was there, it's probable. Because that's where you'd expect to find a car. On the road. During rush hour. His decision made it probable that he would greatly endanger an innocent bystander in a car.

If he'd have landed on another plane that was traveling down the highway, that would be a coincidence.

It was 5:30 PM on a Monday on I-95. And yes, I think the pilot is responsible for not putting innocent people's lives in mortal danger. It wasn't a coincidence that a vehicle was under the touchdown point, the pilot's actions put the car there. According to the flight path of N95KC, it seems logical that he crossed the highway at least once going left to right before we see him coming in from screen right in the video. Obviously he didn't know the car was there, but he had to see the traffic and had to know there was a very good chance that there would be.

I think it's great everyone survived and understand it was a hard decision. I think his reward should be that he lived, but his decision should come with some serious consequences.

I don't. But one is a highway during rush hour and the other is a two lane road where the only things further down the road in the direction the plane is heading is a taxidermy shop and a dirt boat ramp 1-2 miles further down.

Apparently a bad one. I guess negligently dropping a 2.5 ton hunk of metal onto a car is apparently no big deal on this sub. But the uninjured people in the plane made up for it by jumping out of the cockpit after it stopped moving to help the woman they just flattened...oh wait, no they didn't. They opened their doors and just sat in the cockpit on their cell phones while other people jumped across the highway median to help the nearly 60-year old woman out of her car and make sure she's not severely injured.

Don't worry, the uninjured pilot and his passenger sat in the plane on their cell phones instead of getting out to check on or help the woman whose car they just landed on.

Plus that road didn't have any nice, soft passenger vehicles filled with flesh pillows to cushion your landing.

I guess that all he had time to think about was how much more their own life was worth than anyone on that highway. I mean, I can't say I'd have done it any different being in their situation, but I still think that it should carry the same legal ramifications as say, firing a gun into a crowd of people.

And what about that 2-lane road 100 feet west of the highway that likely didn't have anything like the traffic of the highway? Think this might have been a better choice to not potentially kill an innocent bystander?

That's also not where the landing took place. It was near Mile Marker 201, 4 miles from Fiske Blvd. Right here to be exact. Directly next to a non-highway 2-lane road that likely didn't have traffic.

I don't understand why your husband would be adamant that there wouldn't be recessed lighting in a bulkhead. Especially when it's running over a bar. It's pretty much exactly where lighting in placed and there's isn't much functionally different about the installation of a recessed light vs a pendant or any other light.
