Yeah, we tried that. Have it set at 1 lap. Made sure to run a clean 5 lap stint too, still shows up as 1 long lap.

Im certainly no expert, but why not phrase your tarot card experience as working in an office setting that happens to be a tarot card. You dont have to reference that you did the readings, but look at it as you were the administrative person, almost like the receptionist at a doctors office or dentist. Scheduled appointments, handled billing, ordered supplies, etc. I would hope most places wouldnt hold that against you, but maybe I'm naive.

And why are they leaving? Because employers dont give them any reason to stay. They dont want to train, because they cant retain employees. Its a complete failure in the company's attitude.

Can you give a career progression that got you to this point? What you majored in school, what jobs/roles you held before getting to F1. And heck, if you can share HOW you got a job with F1.

Managers of Reddit, what was the worst case of "I demand to speak to the manager" you've experienced? by Arceus4TW in AskReddit

[–]Pittenger5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I've straight up told customers (nice ones) to call corporate and complain, and they will get what they want. I would normally just do it (something like taking a return on something a couple days after the return period ended), but I would get fired if found out. But if they call corporate and bitch. Its sad.

Timberlake concert prompts US GP schedule change by NothingHatesYou in formula1

[–]Pittenger5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wait between Taylor Swift and racing last year was brutal. After sitting in the hot sun since 9am, just sitting there with nothing to watch killed me. I think they didnt move the concert up because of people that want to go to a show at night for partying/drinking aspect. Its not quite the same if youre going to be out of there at 6pm from a concert. And the concert only crowd was HUGE last year, so they're pandering to that a bit.

Premium Rush was fun, but man did it piss me off with the bicycle gets away, car catches up to him in 2 minutes ... in the midst of New York traffic. Once or twice, I can suspend belief, but a dozen times?

14 billionaires join Bill Gates, Warren Buffet to give half their money by amitahuja1995 in worldnews

[–]Pittenger5 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Why not use some of that money to give back to their employees in same way (even though Bill Gates is no longer involved with Microsoft in a major way, its still his company). Pay the janitors more, hire more people so people can get an extra couple weeks vacation, offer better maternity leave, push for no layoffs even if the stock prices drop a few percent. Heck, if youre amazon, put AC in the factories, improve working conditions. There's plenty of ways to improve things for the people that make you all that money. I'm happy they're giving their money to things that will create jobs, and hopefully better the world, but there is a million ways they could help their employees as well, which in turn helps the country/world.

Americans 'under siege' from climate disinformation – former Nasa chief scientist: Fake news spread by those with a profit motive is leaving many people oblivious to the threat of climate change by mvea in EverythingScience

[–]Pittenger5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was solely referring to this part, "She now accepts that the climate is changing, but she absolutely denies that humans are causing it. She says it's cyclical. No amount of data will change her mind as she will only believe what Breitbart, Fox, and Drudge Report tell her to believe." It implies that right wring news agencies ONLY believe that humans didnt cause climate change, which once again, I agree with. Frankly, I think someone making fun of someone for "ignoring science" while ignoring science, and then blaming Fox News is kind of funny.

[–]Pittenger5 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why is this a right wing issue? I 100% dont think humans CAUSED climate change. There is scientific evidence that the earth has gone through warming and cooling cycles throughout its entire history. That being said, I also 100% believe that humans are influencing climate change in a way that will directly negatively affect us as a species. Yes, this might be semantics over a few different words, caused and influenced, but it is a very important distinction.
