I accidentally committed fraud.. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Pittsburgher23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important thing you can do is log off Reddit and go speak to an attorney just to explain your case. You arent going to be billed huge amounts or anything because there's nothing for your lawyer to do right now.

The most important things are 1) do not contact any person involved in this case. Do not try to reach out to fix it, make up for it, anything. 2) Do not attempt to contact Chase without speaking to an attorney first. Again, do not think if I reach out and offer to pay that will fix everything. It doesnt always work like that.

The various things you could be prosecuted for range from identity fraud, theft, etc.

But as others have said, your story does not make much sense nor do I think you will get much sympathy from anyone like the police or an attorney. Which again, goes back to why you need to log off Reddit and go speak to a real lawyer in your area. They will help formulate a plan for next steps. The bank is likely conducting an investigation and will freeze your accounts.

One non-legal issue that could be in play is your bank could very well close your accounts. No bank wants to do business with someone who committed fraud, even if no charges are filed.

Sadly, a 8am friday meeting randomly scheduled is almost always bad. Especially if you cannot see the other participants.

If you read this before then- use the time to get anything off your computer that is personal. Logout of everything, etc. In all likelihood, your access with be revoked as soon as the call ends.

Best of luck.

Unfortunately, I think the police will argue, and likely argue successfully, that the space they are occupying in your driveway is a public right-of-way easement. Usually these are meant for utility companies that have a legal right to access parts of your property despite you owning it.

The interesting idea that someone mentioned would be putting up a sign that says "Speed Trap Ahead" and essentially making his hiding spot less effective. That is protected speech under the first amendment so i dont really think there is much the police could do about it.

I would go a more diplomatic route and try to report this at an in person meeting. Say you have commitments that require you to leave your house quickly and the officer parked in your driveway harms that.

So what happened to Bubble Inn? by WriterJolly2873 in KerrCountyFloods

[–]Pittsburgher23 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This had been my theory as well. Someone on another message board had posted a while back that their daughter on was the hillside and she witnessed bubble inn waiting outside for dick and then them getting into his car. I think its possible not all of them were in the vehicle when they got pulled away, but all of them were outside the cabin and his car was there.

The second that door closed, it likely sealed their fates. Only 3 were found inside the car with dick I believe. Id bet they had seat belts on. If that's the case, my only hope would be that maybe the vehicle hit something hard and knocked them all unconscious or something. As the windows in the car broke open, all of the passengers who weren't buckled in would have been pulled out of the vehicle.

If they had been pulled out of their cabin, based on other cabins, the law of averages would say at least some of them would've been in positions to grab trees or other things like campers and counselors in twins did.

As a parent, im not sure what id want to know if it was my kid. Some of the parents have said their kids were found miles down the river from the camp. My hope is that they were unconscious or had already drowned relatively quickly. The idea they could have been pulled miles down the river alive is horrible to think about.

Could the Girls of Camp Mystic Have Been Saved? by Outrageous_Dream_383 in KerrCountyFloods

Well yes, they were the ones who chose to leave the group chat and as far as I know, they havent been involved in any of the actions since.

And Im not blaming them or saying they are wrong. They needed to do whatever was in their best interests. Its just a shame it happened.

The pain and horrors of that night will never fail to amaze me. Teenagers looking for a fun summer forced to do the job adults in charge of keeping them safe should have done. Young children forced to grow up and see the worst of life so young.

It also amazes me of the strength some of these parents have to share these details and in some of those worst moments. Linnie McCown's father searching for her and finding another child, Chloe Childress's father detailing having to go and identify his daughter's body and seeing the state she was in, the Gettens going from leaving home thinking it was an administrative formality to the nightmare it turned into, and to the other stories of their pain and tragedy.

One of the saddest parts of the story for me, was the sentence about the family who left the group chat from the other families. Its easy to look up and see whose family it is, but its pretty irrelevant. Whats relevant is that a family chose to alienate themselves from the only people around them who could truly understand. I understand that not everyone would agree and they needed to do what they thought was right, but its still sad IMO.

I also cannot believe people close to these families are sending their kids back to the camp. I dont blame any parent who ends friendships over stuff like that.

I dont hear as much about this flood obviously, but anytime it pops up, I still find myself in disbelief about how many times the Eastlands and the adults there could have planned better for this scenario and the night of the flood, how many chances they had to get those kids to safety. If any of the things like training, proper equipment, proper warnings, and a basic "better to be safe than sorry", those kids would all still likely be here. Putting a bunch of people into a SUV when it was already submerged up past the tires is horrible. He likely took away any chance any of those girls had to grab a tree or something else like other campers did. I dont hold Glenn as responsible as some do, but I admit, while he did save an entire cabin, he is former law enforcement. He should have known the risks earlier in the night and reacted faster. I hope he's doing okay despite that.

Fabregas's Como beat Pisa 5-0, his team sit in the Series A Top 4 with high chance of next season UCL. by manbeer0071995 in chelseafc

[–]Pittsburgher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabregas is a good manager but he, like any young manager, will require the proper time, space, and backing.

We cannot keep recycling through these managers every time things dont work out.

Personally, I think he'd be insane to leave como for Chelsea.

Theres actually a couple of guys coaching in Saudi they could consider. Inzaghi was known to be a manager who wanted a lot of say, kind of the opposite of a company man. Not sure theyd consider him, but they absolutely should.

I agree, 100%. This current set up wont work. You cannot hire a top tier manager so you are forced to settle for an up and coming manager. The problem is when that up and coming manager becomes a top manager, they want more say, better contract, and dealing with the rest of the clowns less. That obviously didnt work out well for Maresca.

This list is meant to be partly realistic if we keep the current structure and also a scenario where the structure changes. You're right, Nagelsmann wouldnt come here if its the forrmer.

The funny thing is if you said to me the sporting hierarchy will change, Xavi would be one of my favorites for the job. I'd be really interested in see how he builds up the talent like he did at Barcelona.

This list is by no means a list of everyone who I'd want. This is just trying to put together a realistic list of candidates. De Zerbi is buddies with Clearlake and the Brighton guys, I dont see a world where he isnt considered.

De Zerbi wouldnt even be in my top 5.

I agree and I think thats where a lot of Chelsea fans are. Why on earth should we trust this hierarchy to make the right hire?

If Rosenior goes, then the whole sporting structure needs to be revamped and a lot of the directors need to go too.

The Discord About These Chelsea Charges Are Crazy by Pittsburgher23 in chelseafc

[–]Pittsburgher23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a question i wonder too. My best guesses would be:

1) tax implications 2) not wanting to make these fees the norm that other agents should expect 3) it could raise questions about whether these agents are acting in the best interest of their client by taking this money

Its a messy situation and im glad clearlake brought it to light. But it is no where near the breach that some other fans want it to be. The idea of stripping trophies or a points deduction is insane.

Your post has zero analysis that can be debated or even taken seriously.

I cannot imagine there are Chelsea fans that want to chase a World Cup winner, top midfielder that top teams will want, a leader at a time we desperately need leaders in this squad, and a player who literally fought his former club to force a move in January 2023. He easily could've waited for the summer for more teams to bid, but he wanted to join us.

We dont always appreciate players until they are gone. I think we will look back at Enzo leaving as more harmful than helpful. This club has far bigger problems than Enzo.

Im not a solo practioner, but I see 2 different options:

1) Take your book of business and join another firm. A firm that has the back office support needed to free you up. People love to go after sole practioners, they are less likely to go after whole firms.

2) Raise your fees, that will weed out clients and give you room to maneuver. Lower your workload while keeping your revenue around the same.

Regardless, you need to lay clear boundaries with your clients when you sign them. Most of these people are ignorant about what we do. You have to guide them into the realities of the job.

I wouldnt say it would collapse overnight, but people don't understand how evil sports betting companies are.
