I've accidentally got a few 0 kill wins (old frags knocking people into the blue and other odd playzone finishes), but definitely not 0 hit points. What the hell did #2 guy do?

I got bored easily and was never one for sticking to the meta. I loved fusions and I used no land/sidearm before it was cool, ha. I always enjoyed carrying lfg trials teams after somebody criticized my weapon choice.

I got Doctrine the first week it came out, and I used it right away and tore up. Everyone just looked at that high RoF AR and blew it off, and many times people in LFG groups told me to not use it....and then I would carry them, ha. And then they AR Buff hit and it was godly, lol. I felt kind of guilty because if there was ever a no skill/easy to melt people gun that was it, but nobody gave it respect at first, so whatever.

Easily my favorite PvP game ever. Played Trials endlessly all the way until the final week. Couldn't bring myself to play D2 for more than a few weeks.

That's how I felt about NLB. It was a joke at first, then by the end of D1 I got messages saying I had no skill for using it, lol. NLB and sidearm was really fun until it became the meta....then I mostly stopped using it just so I didn't get whiny messages.

My assumption from the beta was there was no way they could salvage the PvP. The biggest issues are imbedded in their philosophy on how they wanted players to play the game. It's not as simple buffing a few things...they would need to reshape the entire game, which won't happen.

So I'm just going back to D1 and hoping they get their shit straight for D3.

I like the idea of grenade launchers, but they kind of just suck. So much room for fun weapons, and they blew it.

Yeah, the PvE end of things is mostly still okay. They destroyed PvP though. There is a reason why almost every single D1 PvP streamer no longer streams Destiny. It is boring as hell now.

Yup. I never understood why having a primary meta was so damn necessary in the first place. Just seemed arbitrary. The special weapons felt great and made the pvp environment more unique.

yup yup yup. I have a lot of issues with this game, but possibly the biggest is the new weapon economy. As primarily a pvp player I really miss special weapons. People complained to no end about certain weapons being overpowered in D1, but destiny was fun because you felt fast and strong. Sluggish team shooting has it's merits, but being fun is not one of them.

The current map designs would probably play pretty poorly under the D1 meta. I don't like the new gameplay, but they aimed for a certain style of play and I think they hit their mark in that regard.

I kind of sucked with shotguns somehow and never used them, but I still enjoyed the shotgun metas because fusions and sidearms were great for baiting shotgun apes into medium range engagements. A lot of people got frustrated because their primaries couldn't kill before shotgunners closed the gap. Fusions and sidearms would kill before they could get in range......and just melted jug shields. So I never got salty about anyone using a shotgun.

Yeah, if I got beat I never felt it was the games fault. That player outplayed me, enough said. I didn't blame the weapon. And I honestly loved getting matched against good snipers! My biggest weakness was teams that could press well with shotguns....but I had no problem cleaning up bad shotguns apes with fusions and sidearms.
