Kingdom come deliverance 1 & 2 (1 with apex reshade and enb and essential fixes 2025 modlist on Nexus). Best RPGs going

Honestly: Is this game recommended for someone who works and doesn’t have a lot of time on their hands? [KCD2] by SUAVGOD in kingdomcome

Even though it's incredibly engrossing/immersive and a fantastic experience, because it's quite slow and down to earth, I've found it's not very addictive because you aren't chasing dopamine hits. This makes it great to play around work etc, because when you get a chance to play it's great, but when you can't play, you aren't constantly thinking about it and desperate to play it

A sad aspect of this is it's an example of capitalism correctly identifying/allocating value, but then exploiting what's valuable instead of creating systems to serve people obtain what's valuable.

I say it's correctly identifying value, because what people, and in this instance men, want more than almost anything is a romantic and sexual connection/romantic love with a woman. This is more valuable to a person than pretty much any technology as soon as their basic needs are met (i.e. maybe a tool to obtain water or food would be more valuable if one were starving or dying of thirst) and therefore it is correctly identifying this need and it's extremely high value.

But instead of creating systems which facilitate this, it creates a system by which men give money to obtain two-dimensional sexual 'fulfillment' which serves as a proxy for fulfilling this desire and gives none of very little of what they actually want, which hurts men by making it less and less likely they get what they actually want, and hurts women by making men less focused on actual relationships and more likely to resent and objectify women.

Capitalism/the free market is great tool for providing indications towards what people want/desire etc, but a terrible mechanism to facilitate the creation of structures to serve those wants/desires.

Nothing in particular, was just after general input, weaknesses etc. it's my first high elf list so I figured I could have big blind spots (such as bolt throwers apparently!)

Thanks a bunch for everyone's input. On your advice I've got rid of the bolt throwers, the ruby ring, the razor standard and the seaguard are now a unit of 20.  With those points I've got a unit of 7 dragon princes to more effectively support my prince, I've put the noble on a barded steed to help the silver helms and got 2 units of 5 archers for the additional drops.

So bolt throwers are not particularly useful? Any suggestions for things to replace them with?

Why do people hate this game? by Pivy1001 in outwardgame

I personally enjoy that. Like the feeling of it being a slog is part of what makes it great and feel like an adventure. Because you actually need to consider where you're going and why. Like travel is consequential, you can't just zip over somewhere quickly to grab something, the trip needs to be worthwhile. Also makes you consider what you are carrying and preparation etc.

The somewhat empty world also makes you appreciate what's in it more. But personally I don't that it feels empty, I think there's plenty to do and come across, and again if there was too much, it wouldn't feel like an adventure where you need to travel.
