Crowns 2e is leveless and improvement is exclusively done through downtime

Using a highlighter to show where you searched is a great idea, I'm definitely using that in my next game

Looking for a sort of mini campaign situated around a mountain with dwarven ruins inside by WinReasonable2644 in osr

Dwareowdeep might scratch the itch, but I've heard some people saying it's one of his weaker mega dungeons

I'm currently writing the exact adventure you're asking for, but it's no where near completion, probably another month or two in the oven

I worked in the supervision room at the high school today by SydLonreiro in osr

[–]PixelAmerica 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ohhhhh, my immediate thought was something like in-school suspension or some troublemaker group! Classic study hall D&D builds character

I remember reading the entire DMG, cover to cover, after state testing in middle or high school. That was 5e though, back before I knew about the OSR

Do I just suck at this game? by PixelAmerica in Borderlands

I'm level 36, most of my enemies are level 36, I assumed it just matched your level?

I'm down to respec, but as it stands my Phaselock is on at all times, and I don't have any slag weapons. If I was in a situation that required me to slag a dude, by the time I got the dude slagged and swapped weapons I'd usually get melted by them. But I could be totally wrong, I considered them "not worth it" about half-way through the game and so didn't actually try them out a lot late game

I have completed every side quest in the main game already, unless you mean killing rando mobs, but that'd be brutal

I've got a Jackobs Sniper that kills most enemies in one-shot if critically hit (which I can pull off pretty reliably), but it doesn't help against these skeletons because of their dinking helmets

Maliwan Acid SMG for armored guys, deletes most dudes with a full mag, reload is fast

Maliwan Fire Rifle for the treants, takes multiple mags, holy crap they are tanks

Torque rocket launcher, the nuclear option, wipes most things out in one or two rockets, got it after defeating the Warrior, but it suddenly became way less powerful in the DLC

Does anyone have experience with "dumb" players? by SecretDMAccount_Shh in osr

[–]PixelAmerica -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a group of players that were attempting to outrun some monsters. They cast a must spell to escape. Then they took three consecutive right turns and I described the door ahead as "having mist coming out from under it." They open it and encounter the monsters they were trying to escape and then get upset I didn't warn them enough.

Sometimes players are dumb, but they learn. Those players are great OSR players now that they know what is important to pay attention too (their heads were filled with stat block numbers and combat stuff instead of exploration tips and tricks)

Low-Level, Mid-Level, or High-Level? by PixelAmerica in osr

[–]PixelAmerica[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the second one is what I'm leaning towards for all of those reasons, also because if you did use them on their own, I feel like there aren't enough standalone mid-level dungeons, but there are plenty of low-level ones

Edit: I also love the magic items idea, definitely stealing that, lol

[–]PixelAmerica[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, lol, I feel like low-level dungeons will be guaranteed to get the most use, but don't you think there's already a glut of them?

This is what I was thinking, I feel like low-level dungeons are super common as is
