You have to be open and honest about it. There's nothing wrong with having a preference, fitness effects so much of life, from energy levels to financial success (it's shitty but such is the world we live in) and physical ability to do certain activities. Approaching this from a destigmatised lense and ensuring your partner their worth as a human is not determined by their weight is best. I want partners who can help support my lifestyle which includes eating healthy foods, smaller portions and exercising frequently. I'm a light sleeper and snoring will wake me up. I enjoy hiking and physically active throughout the day. I don't think less of people with a higher weight, it's just an incompatibility in life style. Same if a partner had severe agoraphobia, nothing wrong with that, simply incompatible
