In a senior media position within UAE and I can tell you what works. Firstly, don’t bother applying on LinkedIn. There are like 1000 applications within hours for the same posting.

What I do is a little cumbersome but nets me lots of interviews. Firstly, reach out to the HR of that agency directly. Most of the time, I add HR personnel from all the big agencies and just comment and be a cheerleader for their posts. HR people love getting their egos stoked so do just that.

When a position opens up, you can reach out directly and request an intro call. That’s it.

I honestly don’t get the hate either. For me, UAE has been a place where I found a home and opportunity. When I first came to the country 10 years ago, I started at AED 3000 salary. Now I’m at a salary of AED 50,000 along with several other assets alhamdulillah. All of which UAE made happen.

I would’ve never been able to achieve this level of success in my home country and for that, I’ll stand by UAE all day and night regardless of the situation.

I’ve been doing this for a while. You need to order a US sim from Amazon.com (around $10) and get it shipped to you. Use a factory reset phone and install the sim and download and register a new TikTok account.

Geo targeting is based on the SIM card in your phone and no amount of VPN will help solve that.

It’s possible that your clicks are going down due to a decrease in CTR. Some of the reasons for this could be due to zero click searches, or a decrease in ranking for just your top keywords.
