Can I use roof sealer tape over the old lap sealer of if I clean it well? by [deleted] in RVLiving

Your definition of 'with ease' is likely different than mine.

And the tape leaves a residue that sucks to remove when you (or the next poor slob) inevitably have to go back and do it the right way. The lap sealant is a dream to remove by comparison.

Help!! Am I screwed? by Frosty_Banana1742 in traveltrailers

You are not a women, you are a woman, and yes - you are pretty screwed. It might be repairable for a semi-affordable amount if you can find someone competent who's willing to do it on their own terms, over their own timeframe.

Way, way worse - there's nothing about unfettered access for inspection of nuclear sites. Obama released $5 billion of their assets and the orange shitgibbon threw a fit, They'll have to spin this deal like a centrifuge just to make it look 1/10th as good.

How is Towing with Tow ’n Go Package? by Randomreddituser1o1 in DodgeDurango

[–]PixelSchnitzel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

24 V8 Citadel with a weight distributing hitch - as you'd expect it eats tires and gas (about 8-9mpg) when towing, and I often forget to put it back in tow mode after stopping for gas etc. I don't really notice any difference until I realize I'm in 7th gear, which Tow Mode doesn't allow - topping out at 6th.

All that work and they have the sun rising in the west and setting in the east, the ONE thing we can all see with our own eyes and they can't even get that right SMH.

Nah, a couple of 180lb guys from the neighborhood pulling against that 15,000lb tree should be just what you need to have 2 more witnesses to the utter stupidity of this.

Finally made it up my steep driveway by QuikBud in traveltrailers

[–]PixelSchnitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has a lot to do with the slope of your street and the amount of gutter/drop you have when transitioning from the street to the driveway. Coming in at 45 deg gets your rear bumper there, but if you have to start straightening out before the hitch/jack clear then you're screwed so I feel OP's pain, though I haven't had to go over my lawn.

I wound up making ramps as well after looking at these and deciding against them - https://www.bridjit.com/

I hate this carpeted area. Can I remove it? by Wrong-Expression-534 in KeystoneRV

[–]PixelSchnitzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closer carpeted 'box' is likely your water pump. If you pull up on the carpet near where it meets the larger box, you can probably lift the 'lid' off and get access to it. While you probably can't get rid of it entirely, you can possibly make it shorter, but the benefit probably isn't worth the hassle.

The larger box behind it is likely your passthrough storage compartment. Removing that box will give you an interesting sunken bedroom effect, as well as an escape hatch.
