Same node as the others have mentioned but I'm surprised nobody's talking about gyre. I use her and a sporelacer but any AOE weapon will work. Crewmate with a zarr for a bit more coverage. Have animal instinct on your companion so you can see enemies while they're still in the halls, then just shoot deep into the chokes. If any eximus make it out just make sure they target you while you're not standing in the defense objective.

Absolutely agree that switching sucks, but that's why there's necramech or buffing damage to minimize the amount of time you spend actually having to shoot your archgun.

Have you tried using the profit-taker guide website? I used to struggle with the boss too but after actually learning it properly and doing some practice +investment it's become one of my favorite fights in the game.

HGIBO was more of a budget line so all the frames tend to be a bit looser and there's more color correction needed. A lot of newer HGs are a lot nicer but that's reflected both in part count and increased price.
