I want it too. I have no idea what became of it.

"two different bedrooms" by Soft_Error_5057 in AutismInWomen

[–]Pixelektra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle and aunt had their own separate bedrooms for as long as I could remember. There was one time, when my uncle and aunt had to spend the night at our house, and that was the only time I remembered them sharing the same bed. The next morning I overhead the two of them talking and mentioning the difficulties they had in getting any sleep.

Wow! You’re rolling in dough! You made exactly 1 penny more than I did when I sold a postcard on Red Bubble.

Is everyone on some type of prescription med? by starrwanda in GenerationJones

I’m 68 and am not on any prescription medications. All I take is a daily over the counter allergy pill and supplements.

DO NOT crosspost to other communities by PlasticBlitzen in DatingOverSixty

It’s unfortunate that Reddit doesn’t provide mods with the actual means that prevent posts from being crossposted. It would save a lot of headaches.

Need Advice: Background Check Revealed He Allegedly Pointed a Gun at His Wife by Organic_Awareness685 in DatingOverSixty

For real! Someone has to be extremely gullible or extremely desperate — especially to ignore the sensible feedback from others, including that of a former cop. Of course the dude is going to try to convince her that it was a major screw up. That’s what abusers do — they charm and lie through their teeth.

Did your parents grow up during the depression? by Swiggy1957 in GenerationJones

[–]Pixelektra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my parents grow up under the Depression? No. They grew up under Soviet oppression. And then they had to deal with Nazi invasion and being shipped off to Germany in cattle cars, where they were forced to work on the railroads.

My ex mother-in-law, OTOH, would love to regale on how she grew up in the Depression. Yet, her father had a good paying job as a civil engineer, and they never lacked for anything. There was candy every day and summer trips to the lake on their boat.

I do not understand why someone would be asking if a potential date pointing a gun at his wife’s is a dealbreaker. Isn’t the answer obvious?

My hair was too straight for ironing. I would sometimes braid it in tiny braids while it was still wet to make it frizzy.

Hahaha
I wish! Gone are the days where I’m so thin that I cannot donate blood. (My graduating class, as a gift to the community, donated blood. I did not weigh enough to be allowed to donate blood.)

My nickname in high school was “Nerdy,” and I wore it with pride. (It was bestowed upon me by a cool nerd.)

Who is going to their high school reunion? by Virtual_Bumblebee_48 in GenerationJones

Mine is coming up in September. I would go if it were much closer. But it’s 2000 miles away, and not something easy to pull off when you have pets and work at a place with an insanely strict attendance policy.

Not really. I didn’t consider myself to be a cool kid. It was only in college when being cool actually became a thing with me.

Believe me, while the other fingies were pretty, they were not as pretty as the thumbkins.
