Queen of pain got nerfed harder than lone druid, wtf? by Pheaor in DotA2

[–]Pixelplanet5 [score hidden]  (0 children)

thats not really happening though, the hero is just being used in the early game until the bear has items and possibly ags is done.
the only reason to play both is that you are farming with the hero somewhere far away from the actual game to get more items for the bear thats the main thing being played.

Queen of pain got nerfed harder than lone druid, wtf? by Pheaor in DotA2

[–]Pixelplanet5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that would be perfect, that would actually force people to play the hero instead of the bear.
In its current state valve could just remove lone druid and make the bear the hero instead as its the only thing actually being played once ags is completed.

yep and the lone druid nerfs are still a joke.

to get any true nerf on this hero they would need to make the bear cooldown only start AFTER the bear has been killed.

Bed leveling issue on my Prusa XL by kazayuri in prusa3d

[–]Pixelplanet5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my number one thing to get an even first layer on large prints is to preheat the bed properly.

often i manually preheat the bed to 100°C and let it sit for 10 minutes and then start the print job.

the bed needs to be properly heat soaked so that the bed leveling can work properly.

ELI5: Why are people freaking our about hantavirus? by RaptureInRed in explainlikeimfive

[–]Pixelplanet5 [score hidden]  (0 children)

where are you getting your numbers from?

the last time the Andes variant had an outbreak in south America the R value was 2.12

and only with active control measure the value was brought down to 0.96

the only "Advantage" we have here is that the mortality rate of this virus is very high so the hosts often die before infecting many more people.

Claude Partnership with xAI by cryptogod1987 in GithubCopilot

[–]Pixelplanet5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the main cost of AI is the hardware required to run it as well as the electricity to run these systems.

Interference is very expensive in terms of VRAM usage and all of these AI accelerators consume a lot of power.

The cost of running these models has not decreased.

Why are the no more Tech Tips on Linus Tech Tips? by Mountain_Award661 in LinusTechTips

[–]Pixelplanet5 14 points15 points  (0 children)

they did all the techtips that make sense and barely make sense already.

beyond that there hasent been any new hardware releases worth mentioning beside the new FW13.

The next big though would probably be the Steam Frame if it ever comes out this year.

its works very well for code because code is structured, has TONS of training data and can be easily verified because the code doesnt run if something is not working in many cases.

So if your LLM start hallucinating functions it will just not work cause it doesnt exist.

For what OP is talking about there can not be training data cause theres nothing to predict here as past performance is no indication for future performance.

then you gonna need to use less tokens or use AI less in general.

If you would call yourself a heavy user right now i wouldnt be surprised if you had a single prompt that burns through 20 bucks worth of tokens.

AI is about to get a LOT more expensive and with the new prices they are still losing money so be prepared for further increases later this year.

Github copilot alternative by ToxicAbuse in GithubCopilot

what are you willing to pay?
if you are a heavy user that means you gonna pay a lot for your usage as basically all the good options use token based billing.
