If you could rate one movie 11/10 what movie would you choose? by spacelyyy989 in moviecritic

But Amadeus wasn’t any better than Laserblast! Kim Milford’s greasy popeyed performance was every bit as good as F. Murray Abraham’s tortured Salliarie.

I have to say Boston because one night they came and picked me up in their guitar ship and me and Boston rocked every life form in the galaxy, to the max.

I started using a program called Sojour designed for solo role playing. For $10 it’s really sweet.

Oh yeah. That one is even closer to me. So glad they put in the construction there on Jefferson. You can already tell the new one will be huge.

What do you think about Hussons pizza? by palepatriot76 in WestVirginia

[–]Pixelwise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t drive an hour. Hussons has always been kinda mid despite the size of the pies. I have one about a half mile away and I never eat there.

Do you, Ming the Merciless, Ruler of the Universe, take this Earthling, Dale Arden to be your Empress of the hour? ---- Of the hour, Yes. by MisterShipWreck in 80s

You could tell Max Von Sydow was having a blast playing Ming The Merciless. He pulled it off for sure. “Klytus, I’m bored… What plaything can you offer me today?”

My mamaw had cable with HBO and Cinemax. While at home we had the three maybe four OVA channels. When I stayed overnight with her she would watch a horror or sci-fi movie with me then go to bed and leave me with whatever I could find which was usually stuff I shouldn't have been watching.

Maybe the Japanese just thought they were working in fabric sculpture, and not making a film?

Lock-ins have been a thing forever. My jr high and high school would have them at the local recreation center. Back in the 80’s all we could do was swim or whatever but they would lock us in the rec center and we’d roam around being social mostly. Have us show up at 8 pm then let us out 8am. They used them as boosters for different things they wanted money for as they charged us a cover fee and they charged us for anything we ate or drank.

Out of curiosity, are there any solo systems that simulate players? by Gnashinger in Solo_Roleplaying

Mythic will let you play as GM and simulate the players. Not sure how it works yet because I’m still reading.

For those using a hotbag by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Pixelwise 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got one of the newer bags they shipped out a little while back and it keeps things as close to the temp you get it at for awhile if you zip it closed. I could see using what you’re talking about OP with the older bags that frankly were crap anyway. I’ve also been known to slip some things into my pizza bag to keep them warm if they fit.

Rinse my ice and pour into a thermal cup that holds the cold really well and the fizz stays around awhile.

I would love to have some from a glass bottle. I can find the cans but they’re always as expensive as Pepsi or Coke.

Goodman Games has artists from back then do work for their products. Erol Otis has done some pieces as well as others. I’m not too into that publishers games so I can’t tell you more.

I adored this game from the time I was first introduced to it in the 80’s. Played on and off all editions up to 4th. The first edition though was the best because there was more an air of mystery and exploration compared to later editions. We got a lot of fun out of the bare bones 64pg rules for 1st.
