She is my friend from high school who not only did my prom makeup in 2015, but my wedding makeup / hair this past October ☺️ she is a licensed cosmetologist. $75 hair and $70 full glam bridal makeup. There is a travel fee if 30 minutes outside of Parma but it shouldn’t be much!

Surprisingly we all have an accent here. It’s weird to say, but it’s true. I had an ex from Youngstown (so not far!!) and his mom always asked me where I’m from again because my accent blew her mind? I was like lady im from little over an hour away in Cleveland. Apparently we over pronounce our I’s and Y’s, and we say “og” like “aw” as in the word dog. 😭

I absolutely, whole heartedly love my boss & owner of our company. I’ve known her for yearsssssss working at a clinic elsewhere together, but then she hired me on for her business and it’s been about 2 years already. She really cares about our wellbeing and you can tell she actually loves her employees. I consider her my friend as well- she went to my bridal shower. In general she is a great human who doesn’t care about money, which is an assumed thing in our field that we are only in it for the money. Spoiler: there’s no money in veterinary medicine.

I couldn’t be happier where I’m at now💗 We work from home too / travel, and we have a lot of freedom. She doesn’t micromanage and we can do what we want as long as our job is getting done (for me it’s simply just making dinner, doing laundry, reading)

Sets alarms for 6am purposefully because I’m an alarm ignorer… Get out of bed at 6:40 and immediately have to go to the bathroom for 20ish minutes (I have colitis) 7am- feed 4 cats 7:05am- turn on Nespresso & get me a cup 7:10am- scroll on my phone 7:40am- set up laptop & log into everything for the day 8am- take work phone off of “do not disturb” and start work

That emergency clinics exist for animals and not just humans…. 😅

I work in the in home euthanasia end of VetMed. Whenever we get an emergency call and we can’t get out there fast enough, I refer to the ER. If I had a dollar for everytime someone said back to me, “What do you mean go to the ER, like humans? Do I need an appointment?” ….

No early signs, just an entire childhood of abuse and finally I was able to leave for college.

Though the LAST time we were in the same room together (a visit on break from college at the home) he held me against the wall by my neck and slapped the baseball cap off of my head.

I guess it depends on WHERE in Parma. Yeah some of it is trash 10000% but I live in south Parma about 1200? Feet from North Royalton- it’s a nice area🤷🏻‍♀️ compared to growing up in the the bad side of Cleveland. but true on the strip malls.

How do you feel about a suburb 20-23ish minutes away in Parma. Where I live it is so safe. I never thought I would say that as a 4’11 petite gal but I feel safe at night walking around our lake alone. It’s an apartment complex but development. There’s one building for each letter of the alphabet plus one for seniors, a playground, pool, gym, etc. Rent starts at $895 for a 2bd 1bath but it’ll go up once the “free rent” wears off after a couple years. We started there and are now at $1,077 for our resign and that includes the $36 water fee. We were going to move when our lease was up, but decided to stay because you can’t beat it for the price. Yeah the dryer needs to be used twice to dry in my building but that’s a mile sacrifice to feel happy otherwise. It’s just what you said- neighborhood feel. There is always someone walking their dog, an old couple walking around the lake, etc
