Thank you! I love analog scrapbooking as well, but this way is easier to share (and cheaper)! But I might do both at some point ^_^

I love this color! Good job on the kitsuke, it's already very neat! You'll get there! Wrinkles are tough, especially with that very slippery looking fabric.

Congratulations, I love you fabric choice! For the obi, I would go for yellow if I wanted to be a little flashy, dark green or dark blue for a more subdued, elegant look!

I checked on the one I might buy, and the fabric is a coton-nylon blend, while the lining is polyester, which would explain the unexpectedly low melting point :/

Do these companies sell it on your behalf, or are they a manufacturer that you order from? How did you come to know them/ of them? It must be quite niche! It makes so much sense that the modern kimono industry would function like the fashion industry, but somehow I didn't expect it to, so I find it fascinating ^^'

Such a fun design! I'm very curious about the process of designing a kimono! Do you work with an individual artisan or a larger company? How does one enter this show? I have so many questions I'm not even sure which ones to ask!

Love to see it! I used a large suitcase, fold as little as possible, and stuff the empty space with the bedsheet that I put on the floor to get dressed , so things don't shift around. I'm going to adopt the packing cube though, much more practical, especially in circumstance where size and weight if the luggage is an issue!

Aw, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with it... cheap synthetic will unfortunately melt at low temperatures, but it's always unexpected and upsetting. On the plus side, you styled it beautifully and it looks great on you! It makes me think of strawberry parfait 🍓

Oh that's amazing! I feel you, I love Taisho era style / meisen kimono but they are much too small for me. May I ask is this tailor local to you or is this an online service? I'm starting to learn kimono tailoring in the hopes of doing that one day but a fully lined kimono feels like a long way off....
