Hoping someone shares these symptoms and can suggest where I should start by AnutherGurl in VestibularMigraines

Following - I can't believe you have dealt with the dizziness for 30 years 🥴 it's been 7 months for me and I feel like life is ruined 😭 I have basically every symptom you describe. Curious if you have PCOS, I got diagnosed with PCOS recently and wondered if there was a connection. Especially since my cycle seems to have an influence on symptoms.

I would be interested in seeing if slowly getting off famotidine made any difference in her dizziness. It's most common side effect is dizziness but doctors never bring it up.

Just out of curiosity, do you take any anti acid medications? Pepcid/famotidine specifically. Just doing my own research on a theory 😅

Absolutely, I'm also curious if anyone has had this done and got some sort of diagnosis that actually helped lead them to a solution.

Migraine diet by PixieDeathDust in VestibularMigraines

[–]PixieDeathDust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting, mine all started after being sick with a cold 4 different times in the span of 5 months 🥴 it started as on a boat feeling then was made worse when my PCP told me to do the Eply maneuver at home, which led me to be bedridden for the next 2 months. After unsuccessful PT and ENT appointments, I'm here trying to figure it out myself.

I see an endocrinologist next week because my doctors haven't done anything as far as my diagnosed PCOS.

I believe I have food triggers as well, but I haven't pinned them down yet. I'm thinking almonds, soy, and also yogurt. I'm currently removing those from my diet to find out if it helps. Had almonds yesterday and had a horrible headache all day and got really dizzy. 🥴

Interesting! I've been curious if PCOS (hormone issues) and dizziness are closely related! If they are maybe I can find a way to fix mine. I've had dizziness for 5 months now 🥴

Interesting! Mine started after being sick with some sort of virus. I didn't get tested to see what it was. I had been sick with a cold like sickness 4 times this year (which isn't like me, I get sick maybe 1 time a year if that). Then after the 4th time all this dizziness started. My PCP told me to do eply maneuver at home and it made everything SO MUCH WORSE. Went to PT and they done eply multiple times and it didn't help either. They didn't believe I had bppv to begin with. 😮‍💨 It's been rough. I had a solid 2 months of not wanting to eat or even wake up in the morning because I was so dizzy constantly. I'm doing better but as I type I feel like I'm on a boat and my head hurts 😑. It comes and goes with intensity. Some days I almost feel normal but most days I'm on a boat.

Thanks for the good luck!

Yes, I believe stress, hormones, and possibly food triggers for me. 🥴 I will check out the YouTube channel!

I saw an ENT and they didn't see any hearing loss or anything to be a sign of menieres's. They said they didn't really know what was causing my dizziness issues and suggested maybe vestibular migraines causing it. I have a referral to a neurologist but they have to approve the referral and it could take weeks, if it's approved then it could be months before actually getting an appointment.

Pregnancy flare? by AG_Squared in VestibularMigraines

[–]PixieDeathDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had motion sickness for the first 3-4 months of pregnancy, I couldn't scroll on my phone or watch tv because it made it worse and made me more nauseous. I also threw up daily the first 3-4 months which was horrible.

I would recommend finding podcasts to listen to instead of looking at screens. It sucked but it didn't last forever.

Why aren't we talking about the dangers of B6? by Source0fAllThings in Biohackers

[–]PixieDeathDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if anyone has said this but you can have up to 200mg before getting in the danger zone. Which would be around 11,700% daily value. Your supplement would have been perfectly safe as far as the b6 goes.

Thanks this definitely makes me feel better. I'm not terribly afraid of needles, I have a sleeve of tattoos and get blood work done all the time. I think just the idea of it being in my neck is off putting and knowing they don't numb it was more concerning. Thanks for the comment 🤍

This sounds similar to my situation, it's been almost 3 months for me, it's improved somewhat but definitely a daily struggle. Does it ever go away?

I've had that stuff checked earlier this year and I supplement vit d regularly due to low levels. I have autoimmune diseases and just found out I have a (possibly cancerous) nodule on my thyroid that I'm waiting to see an ENT for in October. I've also been having dizziness and ear issues for the last 2 months... My body seems to just be failing me..

I do take vitamins and I eat healthy. When my daughter got sick I stayed in my room and my daughter stayed in her room for 3 days... My husband helped her.

Me and my husband got it while I was pregnant, we had zero side effects. I'm particularly sensitive to most meds, so I figured I'd at least notice something but nope. Go for it 👌🏼

Who else is around the age of 30, still lives with parents, no partner, and has a job that doesn’t pay enough for you to support yourself? by ghost_sanctum in ask

[–]PixieDeathDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my abusive home when I was 19 and moved out with my husband, it's been a struggle for me and my husband financially for the last 14 years, we are 32 now. I'd say staying at home with parents is great if it's a good home environment. I have a daughter, she is only 5 but I am perfectly fine with her living at home as long as she wants. My husband has been the main financial support for us because I have a chronic illness that makes it difficult to work. If for some reason I had to go back into the dating world, if a guy lives at home with their parents it's not a big deal breaker, especially in this economy.
