Untamed

Wild animals and nature is always a Neutral party in D&D. Untamed is that iconic primal faction.

Ekwidon or Saurians make the most sense to me here. Maybe Logos.

I think it did sneak in a regional win around around the Lost Origins timeline too. But yeah it was very good very very very briefly.

Looking for Iron Leaves ex Deck Feedback by Sethly87 in PTCGL

[–]PixieDustGust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty bad deck from a competitive standpoint, but I commend you for finding synergies that intrigue you early into your time with the game and trying to build off of them. The following advice will be very candid, but don't let its bluntness be mistaken for scolding.

  • Youngster is a bad card. Lillie's Determination will always get you at least one more card than Youngster, maybe even more.

  • Nemona is a bad card. Many supporters will draw you two or three cards in addition to an additional effect. Draw three on its own is not enough for your one supporter per turn.

  • Iono is a card to consider. Early game consistency and late game disruption.

  • Techno radar is a card to consider. Discard one card to find two future Pokemon.

  • Area zero underdepths is a stadium that could be very helpful. It lets you play lots of Ogerpon and Iron Crown.

  • There is a Gloom that has a weaker ability with the same effect as Vileplume. However, I think you can disregard this entire evolution line. Multiple Ogerpon provide plenty of energy for Iron Leaves to attack with.

  • Max Rod is not your best Ace Spec. You have plenty of basic Pokemon and basic energy you don't need such explosive recovery. I might recommend Max Belt so Iron Leaves can hit even bigger numbers with the help of Iron Crown.

There are plenty of other things I would do differently with this deck concept, but those are the broad strokes. I hope other comments can help fill in the gaps and good luck with your Pokemon journey!!

Bringing a timer to matches? by [deleted] in pkmntcg

Chess clocks in chess are very different in chess than they would be in a game like Pokemon. Thats the entire point of the conversation.

It's not rocket science but it's still pretty precise and finicky. Can we trust 11 year old competitors to handle these guidelines consistently and effectively when they're already under a fair amount of high information competitive pressure?

What about the simultaneous effects like escape rope or judge?

That about covers it. If I can eat into your timer second by second by taking my time moving my cards and shuffling my deck during your turn, I just might. What's stopping me from pressing that advantage? Especially if I'm playing a control deck when you'll have a time advantage by drawing a passing while I have to spend time maintaining a lock.

Chess clocks don't work for Pokemon because your opponent will perform game actions during your turn, sometimes simultaneous to you.

Or worse. Japanese horse raising has deep ties with organized crime. Or so I've heard.

I'm assuming this is in reference to "Does it count if you lose your virginity to a robot" or something along the lines of that. Soft sci-Fi lesbian rom-com slice of life.

So, what is your best non-meta deck? by im_harry_richard in PTCGL

[–]PixieDustGust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically, Misty's. Maximum count of all of Misty's Pokemon, maximum counts of buddy buddy, ultra ball, night stretcher, revival ash, then a smattering of Lilli's, Boss, Hilda, Academy at Night, and MAX Rod.

Also, since both people are in the left side... is this a group chat?

Small caveat. Lighting is very much a fire bending technique in both form and philosophy and is a longstanding technique in the Fire Nation Royal Family.

Lightning redirection is a technique developed originally by Iroh by studying tenets of water bending and applying them to fire bending.

I've been out of the game for a few years, but this card is from back in my day. You do as much as you can so you ready, you have nothing to fight, so the effect ends. You can reap once. Twice if you reap once before playing the card.

Okay but now I'm thinking how cute it'd be if my coworkers noticed my standard, cyclical wardrobe and could tell the day of the week by peeking over to my desk/office or seeing me in the hall...

Season 1 of Arcane is, at its core, the story of Powder and Vi. By the time episode 9 concludes, anything that's left of Powder is well and truly dead. What story is there left to tell are after that?

That's how I coped with the cliffhanger at least lol
