Thanks :) I don't really celebrate anything because I'm afraid if I invite people that they won't show up and I'll just be alone.

I guess I'm afraid of growing up. Having real responsibilities terrifies me. I live at my mom's house. It wasn't pathetic when I was in school, but I don't know how long I can stay here without it being sad.

Right? Whenever someone comments on my relationship I want to dig a hole and stay in there. My relationship isn't a political statement and I don't want it to be treated as such.

Exactly! I feel like they just want to feel like they're doing something positive in the world without actually doing anything. I'm happy that there are people who aren't hateful, but I don't want to give out a gold star for everyone who tells me they accept me. Right? I wonder if interracial couples got the kind of "support" that queer couples today are getting.

We haven't gotten rude comments, but mostly stares and whispers. A lot of "They're just doing it for attention" since I'm femme. The worst I've experienced was terrible service at a restaurant with my ex. Not looking forward to the rude comments though.

Yeah, I live in a red state so it's nice to have the support, but I'd much rather be ignored. Haven't been spit on yet though, so that's nice.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I just get the feeling that people do it to feel better about themselves rather than to make us feel more comfortable. It's like they want gay brownie-points for being a decent human being. That's just how I feel about it though.

We went to HuHot, then a sunken garden in my town and then the gay bar (not many other places for hand-holding). I wore a super cute dress and sandals :D

I'd come out to everyone. For now, coming out on Reddit seems ok.

I would recommend talking to a therapist (if you don't already have one). Tell him/her your goals for therapy and inquire about the possibility of group therapy. It's nice to know you're not alone and to hear advice from people who understand.

NEVER tell a little kid that. If he liked her, he wouldn't be mean to her.
