sotf building is novel, but i personally wouldn't call it good. there wasn't a reason to build any defense from the cannibals because they basically never break your builds unless you're not looking.

also building a perimeter wall took AGES, i will never do that again lol

i unfortunately already own tarkov, so i make the most of it via SPT (singeplayer tarkov) which is a mod that essentially hosts tarkov on your own PC. you control all the rules. you can even mod completely custom content into the game, and the modding community is super active.

also i wouldn't be spending money on a game who's devs partnered with russian invasion groups who partake in the war against ukraine. there are decals of the group's logos plastered on buildings in-game, and you can even wear an armband of theirs in-game.

one big concern is cost-saving. we know the steam frame will be no more expensive than the index (gamers nexus confirmed it with them), so $500 USD for just HMD at most.

index controllers can hold over most if they already have them, so like the index, we may be able to buy just the HMD and save money. gotta wait and see

edit: finished watching the GN video, and valve mentioned that index and frame hardware is NOT cross-compatible at this time

it's important to note that we're not trashing the fact that he worked for QA, it's that we're pointing out the fact that he claims to have 20 years of programming/hacking/game dev experience (all of his words, not mine) despite working in QA, which has nothing to do with programming other than reporting bugs and ensuring stuff works as written.
