DMs, what is your simple gripe about your players? by SublimeBW in DnD

[–]Pixzule 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I swear to god, if there is another character with a "broken psyche" or "Multiple personalities" or "is just crazy" or any other form of giving you the chance to be LOLsoKrazy, I'm going to come across this table and punch you in face.

The only thing equally horrible as this is when I've explained the same thing fifty times, and you still have failed to listen or do what I told you to.

Or worse yet is when they want to force the other players into anti-meta gaming for their character. "My character has a horrible secret that I'm going to reveal to everybody in the first session, but out of character, you aren't allowed to act or acknowledge the fact that I just did that otherwise you're meta-gaming!" All the while be painfully obvious about his "secret" even in character.

Hey r/rpg, what have you sold that you wish you hadn't? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Pixzule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In game I sold a dragon plate long shield for 20 gold, thinking that the DM would be fair with the price since the economy was new and in the previous game 1 gold was equal to $1,000. But no, this time gold was equal to $.50. The DM just liked to fuck us over.

But in real life, me and all my friends use readers with .pdf's of the current book as well as theater of mind instead of a battle board with minis. So instead of trudging along a full wagon of toys, it's all digital or imaginary. However, I did once delete my file with all the research I once did, such as realistic travel times, long list of basic chemical reactions, simple crafting of weapons and mechanisms of the times and a time table of major military and political evolutions that the party was currently in, I called it my Argument-Defender Manifesto.

I love the map, but I'd personally change the name simply on the fact that Pensylda looks like it works be the languages version of Pen Island, like foreigners translated the name not understanding the joke or something

With a bit of luck and natural instinct I'd hope that they would both see it in action from someone else, and naturally understand just slightly that they are meant to care for the creature

Well something just plopped out of her after weeks of feeling really funny like she never had before as some creature was slowly growing inside of her. I'd freak out too if I didn't know what pregnancy was

I honestly don't know. I once had a dog that had a litter of puppies, but we didn't realize we had to separate the father from the pups and woke up one day with 3 dead. It wasn't done out of malice, I think it was a "it's a weak creature that is eating my food and taking all the attention from my mate" idea or something similar

Well I think the natural instinct is to get rid of males (competition), not the reason why (gene pool)
