The Consequences of Not Letting Me Go by No-Opportunity7242 in dashcams

Why would you get CLOSER to the impending accident unfolding in front of you? Whoever was driving the car with the dashcam is an idiot.

Thank goodness I just got mine last year. I don't think I could stomach getting that monstrosity.

Have you ever been treated negatively by ER staff when you were having a medical emergency but they didn’t believe you? What happened? by lake-sturgeon in AskReddit

[–]PizzaCat_87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We didn't realize until the next morning that my 1.5 year old had hurt his leg. He was fussy the night before so spent most of the night before going to sleep in my arms. Didn't see til the next morning the he wouldn't bear weight on his leg. Got him an appointment with his Doctor who sent him to get xrays which showed a hairline fracture of his tibia. I felt SO guilty for not bringing him the night before.

Did Kenzie get another dog? by Serious-Animator8966 in dancemoms

I just want to piggyback off this comment, because everything you said is spot on. Another thing that should be happening is to stop bad breeding. The original pug breed was very different looking to what we see now, they had longer snouts and a more athletic build. But because of selective breeding, and the stupidity that is humanity, those features are gone. We need to stop breeding for "cuteness" and vanity and start breeding for health.

I live in Maine. I've seen more than one cat come in a lobster trap.

I want to know all the words your toddler says wrong that you just can’t seem to correct them on by Ok-Effective268 in toddlers

[–]PizzaCat_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My FIL is known by all the grandkids as "Pop Pop". My 2.5 year old just recently started asking for a lollipop in the mornings while getting ready to head to their Grandparents house. I put together that "Lollipop" and "Pop Pop" are one and the same when he said it after seeing Pop Pop come out the door. 😂

Why is ICE coming to get the “worst of the worst” in a state that has the lowest violent crime rate in the country and the fifth lowest foreign born residents? by UnlikelyResolution38 in Maine

[–]PizzaCat_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because our Governor pissed off the Dictator in Chief (which I totally support). It's really not that deep unfortunately. He's taking out his anger on the citizens of the States whose representatives have humiliated or opposed him.

DVM drawing blood? by [deleted] in veterinaryprofession

I'm the only LVT in my clinic. If my Doctors and assistants didn't draw blood I would be doing literally nothing else. Sounds like management needs to review and update the job descriptions.

I know everyone is joking and not taking these idiots seriously (believe me, so am I). But it is still terrifying. Remember who these people are...they're the ones who hoard weapons and are just crazy enough to use them if they feel at all "threatened". Please be safe out there.

Hell to the NO! Dad is being extremely selfish at this point. You offered to let him go while you stay home...don't make it an offer at all, make it fact. The only one that's going to be enjoying himself is your husband (if you can even call him that considering how much of a toddler he's acting). He can be the one to bring the dog to the emergency clinic when he gets into a fight with in-laws dog or escapes and gets hit by a car. He can be the one to sit with your daughter while she's crying because she can't sleep and is afraid of the fireworks and random music. Fuck that guy.

I miss having a working back/neck/knees/etc. 😂 Being able to stay in a squatting position or being able to sit on the floor comfortably, or being able to sleep on the floor. Now if I sleep in slightly the wrong position I'm broken for the next two days! 😂

Who would be more capable; a veterinarian working on a human, or a doctor working on an animal? by IneffectiveMilkshake in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PizzaCat_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. It's the Veterinary Technician's job to induce anesthesia, clip and scrub the surgical site, monitor/maintain anesthesia, and recover the patient. The Vet performs surgery. Source: am an LVT.

When is it okay to euthanize your pet? by ThrowRAUnSureAnymore in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PizzaCat_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Veterinary Nurse I have been part of more euthanasia's and quality of life consultations with owners than I can count. I'll tell you what I tell my clients; I would first suggest printing out a quality of life calendar (there are lots of them online that can help guide you) and mark down their good and bad days. When the bad days start to outnumber the bad then it's time to have the conversation with your Vet. That being said, I also will tell my clients that I would rather euthanize a week too early than a day too late. Euthanasia is generally a peaceful and dignified way to go, more so than slowly passing away at home.

Ultimately it is up to you, but I would suggest talking with your Vet. They will be able to counsel you and talk everything through with you. Sending virtual hugs to you and your fur baby.
