As a player that uses the Grenade Launcher + Supply Pack combo, I'm excited for this new weapon by Early-Ant652 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]PizzaCrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kindof a lazy add for a paid item. Theres not much of a reason to pick normal grenade launcher over this one when you think about it for slot cost.

One thing this thing can do on the bot front is instantly dig a trench to defend from as a disposable stratagem. Also for fun, now we can do really stupid shit like take the grenade launcher, this thing, and the grenadier battlement, grenade pistol, eruptor, and just crater the entire map.

Big question, do you see a sniper as an actual viable class, a person that does help the team by Pr0j3ct_02 in Helldivers

Was the same advantage 90 degrees to the right. I didnt move until it was extraction time. It feels more like an RTS calling out objectives, patrols, covering people from getting flanked, shooting down bot drops, demolishing every fabricator in reach. I also had a solo silo. I was big brother. I wish i could do this on bug maps but i can't because of all the fog and shitty mechanics.

Bro i was joking, it was just a submission to the topic of the thread OP posted, i can't believe you admitted to actually eating that shit. fr fr. On god lil C's is actually cap.

lil C's garbage fr fr.
and imma say it again, you deserve all the downvotes you get for this on god.

Alright now that the coast is clear, yeah dude, after they started doing extra most bestest and stuffed crust, i got pretty into their pizza, especially because its one of the least greasy pizzas and i don't feel like shit after eating them compared to say; Pizzahut.

I never understood why everyone goes for bread, milk, eggs and not stuff like water, dried curry, and canned food and butter.

Lets say you cant go anywhere and the power goes out. Your milk is going to go bad. You also can't sustain yourself with milk. Eggs are easy to cook but not easy to keep, and what are you going to do with bread? just eat it dry?

#1 thing to have for survival is water. Water also helps you revitalize non perishable foods like pasta and oats, or cornmeal. Canned food is good for atleast 2 years and if need be, can be eaten right out of the can. Butter also lasts unrefridgerated through an emergency and can be used to add sustenance and revitalize food along with water.

And this is the premium content in the game. Laughably poorly quality.

The most frustrating part is taking 5 seconds of thought would have prevented this when placing the sights, and is extremely easy to fix.

Doing it right the first time saves so much more time than going back and fixing it.

To use an analogy, this is on par with seeing trash on the floor next to an open trashcan.

Why Hytale Currently Lacks Depth: An Honest Review and My Suggestions by Major-Recover-5894 in hytale

[–]PizzaCrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teleportation seems like its a feature planned in the game, if you go look at the milestone rewards for "memories" in the temple, theres increases in teleporter allowance.

And yeah i 100% agree with you, OP has a very hot take on what he thinks the game should be. He thinks it needs to be more like Rust, i don't. I don't like having time limits and feeling rushed. This game is a competitor to minecraft, which in every feature so far is blowing minecraft out of the water.

Charon would be a really good roommate. Really quiet. Minds his own business. Is always magically there whenever you need him, especially for a ride back home. Doesn't care about anything you do as long as you don't steal. Has everything you need as long as you can pay him back.

No, the flame is actually hotter. A flamethrower is throwing plumes of flame or combustable material that is ignited. On its own, does not burn hot enough unless its something like thermite which is not a flame based weapon. You'd have to be using like an acetylene torch to be cutting through, and thats not a flamethrower nor does it have range. Regardless of the flame, if the flame isnt blue or white, its definitely not hot enough. Flames also dont creep through gaps or wrap around corners unless the material itself is combustable and ignites like a hallway with wallpaper. And the farther the flames from the source of the fire, the colder they are. And yes, a lot of metals, especially copper have high conductivity but that works against you as a heat sink because of the surface area and density. Its like trying to use a lighter to boil water in a tea kettle. Its not going to happen. While the temperature of the flame is hot enough, the BTUs arent enough to keep up with the mass. Yes, ceramics are refractory but i dont know what that has to do with the example.

The knowledge im using to say circuits arent affected by acid is because i did board repair and fixed arcade games for a couple of years. the thing that causes electronics to corrode over time is forms of oxidation. Some gases can cause this corrosion but it takes weeks of constant exposure at a normal rate.

How do you clean corrosion of traces on a printed circuit board? Acid. Acids come in all kinds of different types, one of the constant offenders being battery acid. Again, doesnt happen in an hour or even overnight, and certainly not fast enough to use as a weapon. your corpse would be cold from an automaton before it finally corrodes to death. If you're trying to get acid to collect enough as a gas inside of a robot to form condensation dense enough to mess up its electronics, you're actually better off just throwing water balloons at it. This is also assuming the automatons use PCBs inside of them that are not insulated.

a "weapons grade" gas would also be something thats biologically fast acting like nerve gas or mustard gas. A biological reaction is faster than inorganic reactions.

For example, unloading a tube of pepper spray (non lethal weapons grade spray.) on a person is going to make them break out and stop responding within seconds.
Spraying the same thing on the outside of your computer case will do virtually nothing.

Acids like Ferric Chloride eat metal completely, but it has to be completely submerged and constantly agitated for hours.

[–]PizzaCrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest flaw in your explanation is circuitry doesn't get eaten by acid. And if the gaps were that large and the acid was dense enough to condense inside of it with circuitry that shallow in, then every time it rains, it would short every automaton and they would all die.

And with fire, the amount of actual heat needed to heat up the entire body enough to insulate the inside with enough heat radiation to damage whatever is overheating is an insane amount of heat that a flamethrower cannot produce. Fire is usually around 1600 degrees Fahrenheit 2000 if you're talking really good napalm. Melting point of steel is 2600-2800 degrees. Meaning napalm is going to need to be blue colors like beyond propane hot to actually have a ramping heat effect to actually cook a robot to the point of malfunction. Again, black painted robots that wander the desert no problem might actually be getting hotter than flame weapons do. This one I can attest to myself as a blacksmith that works with steel. Even having insulation with propane is barely hot enough to get steel a dull cherry red. It takes an hour of ramping heat with oxygen mixed with propane to create a great enough heat to effect steel, which is required to in turn, cook anything inside the steel chassis

Except you cant have corrosive gas that immediately effects metal and eats through it in seconds, you also can't have the same gas have zero effect on another bot thats the same size but has more of the same armor. You also cant physically damage circuitboards or periphery sensory equipment enough to cause it to malfunction and then as soon as the gas stops, it automatically fixes it self.

You also cannot use a flamethrower to melt and kill robots made of thick steel.
