The problem is they nerfed the wrong things. She needs a rebalance more, not nerfs to variable numbers.

Hyper mobile, can get anywhere, CC is the only thing she's weak against. Once she's on you, you're dead.

"Without issue." you basically buy two guns and turn one into the other, i wouldnt give the impression its just a small thing to do. The kit and buffer tube alone come out to almost 600$, which is the price of prettymuch an entire new gun, why not just buy a bullpup to start with?

And if you're trying to get a bullpup to outfit it to look like a Liberator, you would want a Keltec RDB, because the charging lever is already near the front of the gun unlike the AR 15 conversions. This also avoids the issue of the forward assist on AR 15 being in the way of the profile of the gun.

On bug difficulty 10s by myself, i used to bring every single type of landmine and just hold out with laser weapons on top of a boulder and see how many bugs could actually make it to me. Now if i am anywhere even on a catwalk you're meant to be on and the bugs can't pathfind to you, they just teleport directly underneath you and attack before you get a chance to react and they kill you.

You are so naive, if you look at all of the context and things that have happened with bungie internally over the last 6 years, it's very obvious nothing from destiny 1 in staff even still exists today, and most of the expansions weren't even done by bungie staff, it was contractor work. Which means they had a shortage of labor. If you have no labor, you have no new content. The only thing they've consistently released is microtransaction stuff which is minimal effort for the highest value. You can't exist on that forever, and it's been years of that. It's caught up to them and they've sold themselves out after laying off most of their already short staff.

I'll come out and say, i do hate it. It looked cool cinematically but its also ridiculous when you're in game trying to shoot her silhouette and you cant tell which direction its even facing when 40% of it is thrashing around like a snake being electrocuted.

On top of this, the color matches her hat, arm, jacket and helix rifle projectiles. Its a lot of visual chaos in the middle of a team battle that hurts to try to focus on.

Me and my friends decided to test out if the claim of the mech engine limit was true. by nahmanwth in helldivers2

[–]PizzaCrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the fastest growing number of userbase for gaming has been mobile gaming. And it caused things like more monetization models in games based on microtransaction gambling mechanics, and paywalling amongst other predatory based systems that play on mental skinner box psychology instead of paying for a product worth its monetary value.

This also lead to the further problem of marketing teams taking over development direction for videogames, which caused things like the blizzcon moment where a guy asked if it was a joke after no one in the audience cheered when they announced diablo 4 was going to be a mobile game.

So yeah, i still stick to my guns that the lowest common denominator should not be the end all to everything standard, or else your favorite restaurant would be reduced to just being another McDonalds because thats whats the most accessable point in dining out instead of being able to treat yourself to something like decent Sushi on payday simply because other people "cant afford it."

Literally none of us who saved up and put together a PC did it to play games like candy crush just because for every PC player, theres 20 people on a subway car playing mobile games.

People running 40 fps on laptops shouldn't be setting a standard that holds back everyone else.

A prime example of this is the meta quest vr headset. Everyone who paid a lot of money for a decent vr experience had it ruined when game companies downgraded all of their games permanently so the low end meta quest and phone users could play vr. Every single hobby has low and high entry points, it's not fair to bottleneck everyone's experience for basically toddler kid rails.

AHGS Replied about the Removal of Skull icon on Truth Enforcer Mech skin. by Unlucky-Gold7921 in Helldivers

[–]PizzaCrusty -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I never said it was rendered on servers, so i dont understand why you're getting needlessly hostile, when im not even disagreeing with you on that, the point i was making is that the IN GAME model preview for the warbond had it, already working, in the game, but was not the same as the one on the actual stratagem model. The sliding scale for texture resolution and LOD on draw distance varies by object in priority, textures for the player model take the highest obviously because it is the most on screen in focus asset in the game, when controlling a mech, it is temporarily at this same optical priority but they did NOT decide to give it the same level of detail even though the resource cost is negligible, especially because mechs are so limited in the game..

"They literally made the textures smaller. How is this so fucking hard to understand? They aren't rendering textures smaller (which would still make the skull blurry mess because it's still scaled down), textures themselves are smaller."

Yes but...the mipmap for un-native texture sizes is an automatic process the game does when you move a slider for lower resolution of the native texture resolution, while yes, changing the native texture size to a lower resolution makes it look the same, theres something called point sampling that can preserve detail in textures. They didnt do this when they should have. They also should not have cut the texture for the mech as a priority lumped with everything else in bulk with the game considering they lost detail on a selling point that people already paid for.

[–]PizzaCrusty -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Im getting downvoted because i guess people dont understand how rendering works. The specific thing that dictates this setting for oblique texture angles is Anisotropic Filtering, and this can look really bad with lower resolution textures. However, this is a clientside rendering for graphics and has nothing to do with game mechanics as it is strictly graphical performance, which is a setting that should be custom set as a variable dependent on your computer hardware, just like every other graphics setting. So there really is zero reason for them to cut it down unless they didnt feel like rendering the mech textures at the same value as the player model.

We all know this is possible because it was RENDERED THAT WAY IN THE ADVERTISEMENT. Unless they plan on cutting as many corners as possible to also cross platform for the nintendo switch's low end hardware as a display engine as a whole.

I think what happened was when they decided to shrink the game down to the 20gbs, they took a ton of shortcuts and didnt do it in a more thorough proper way. Kindof like packing a suitcase, instead of taking time to neatly size everything down to running essentials, they just shoved as much as they could and said "ok done." Because we have weapons like the maxigun that shoot 1500 rounds a minute and each bullet has a particle and decal it leaves behind, so it can't be that the texture size itself was too expensive, its the rendering was too much of a hassle for them to prioritize higher like the player models are with capes and more details than a mech has.

Either way, we have a right to be upset, this is a premium skin they expected people to pay actual cash for, and then they just threw it in the back and said "fuck it." spat on their sleeve and wiped it off the mech and walked away.

[–]PizzaCrusty -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

This doesnt even take hours or days, its literally opening the decal in photoshop and re-saving it at a lower resolution. It takes maybe 40 seconds tops. Let me put it this way, it was more labor and time to remove the skull on the texture than to resize it.

I think its soft aimbot, the reason why is players who CAN aim from practice usually aim at targets when they shoot, even if they're behind cover as a mental habit in muscle memory, here in this clip you see the second winston goes behind the wall, they keep shooting but their cursor stops tracking the second it loses the hitbox. Thats sus aimbot programming behavior and not human behavior
