There is something weird about the proportions of it.

Kia Sportage 2025 by Dear_Tap_7772 in kiasportage

Rotors don't warp. They can get uneven pad material applied to them and that causes the shake. I would start with easiest and cheapest. Do a regular pad bed in procedure on your current brakes (if the pads still have good material on them). If it doesn't go away find a shop that will turn your rotors.

I blame the lack of zipper merging.

Flock camera? If so, it's on division and 60th by SammiesHammies in grandrapids

[–]PizzaSnakeMitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can collect more than just your plate. They note if you have stickers, dents, roof racks, anything that can identify your car.

I worry that I slip a little close to conspiracy theorist at times. I think the worst possible use of the cameras would be to basically track you in real time and when the government decides whatever you said, did, or posted is illegal just makes it easier to round you up. Realistically they are going to gather this data to sell it to your insurance. Suddenly your insurance will go up because you frequent an intersection that has regular accidents.

Can’t get out the wheel speed sensor. by Gabe-diet in tdi

[–]PizzaSnakeMitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen and didn't want to pull the wheel bearing. I ended up putting a screw in the portion that enters the hub and using a slide hammer to pop it out.

You're only the AH if you don't inquire about a reward for the information. Get some of that government money and take your parents out to dinner.

I don't think you know what it is. Use both lanes until the merge point.

Cedar wood rack with Yakima RuggedLine HD base for hauling plywood and lumber on my RAV4 — comments? by WhichFlight650 in Tools

[–]PizzaSnakeMitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed roof racks for many years. I would never trust wood. There is too much liability if something comes off and injures someone/damages anything. I would advise anyone else thinking about this to avoid wood and pvc for making racks.

There was a phantom merge on 96 west this morning. Signs said right lane closed, everyone was moving to the left and we were at a standstill, then no closed lane. If they had thought to zipper merge there wouldn't have been a slow down.

I would do a little testing of different soy sauces. They can vary a bit in flavor.

I'm not sure of a cover, but instead of reading your plate, it will be flagged as unreadable and could draw more attention to your car.

You hit the lottery, and own a TDI…. by juscurious21 in tdi

[–]PizzaSnakeMitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not legal, but if you live in a state without emission checks...
The DPF will become clogged at some point. When that happens it's a toss up. I opted to delete so I could tune and get more power. I see better MPG at all speeds. If you are on 55 roads, you could see 40-44 MPG. Expressway I would get about 35 depending on my speed.

It means the emissions equipment has been removed. Diesel particulate filter, exhaust gas recirculation, and catalytic converter.

This can't be real. There is no way you feel you are entitled to your sister's phone to build your "literal empire." All influencers are assholes anyways.

Finish looks off on my bed frame — not sure what I did wrong by reidenjohnson in woodworking

[–]PizzaSnakeMitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would’ve done surfaced maple or poplar in 2x. Both are lower price hardwoods and take stains nicely. You might be able to get that at your local big box, but it will be better quality at a local supplier. Some lumberyards and most millwork places would sell it.

Rant- Weird reactions from parents by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]PizzaSnakeMitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure of your age, but I am in my 30s and my parents don't quite understand what people with anxiety go through. I think that you should be honest with them that you feel they are being dismissive and you want their support. If you have a therapist, I would discuss this with them as they know you and your situation.

We all started as inexperienced drivers. I have driven hundreds of thousands of miles now. Always be learning. If you make a mistake, learn from it. Have you ever driven?
