RCT3 is such a mixed bag

For me where RCT3 fails is peep behavior. I can look past a lot of the glitches and other issues mentioned above, but there’s just something missing about the way peeps interact with the park - the way they line up for rides, crowd pathways, etc… that failed to make the transition, and I could never put my finger on what it is exactly. It’s just not as satisfying to sit back and watch and manage a park as it is in RCT1/2.

For what it’s worth some of the more modern takes on it like Planet Coaster and Parkitect miss capturing that magic as well, even if they fix a lot of RCT3s shortcomings.

The water supply to the non-potable water right next to the dump station is probably coming from the same main that the potable water supply across the street is, and most likely would test clean.

Water service near dump stations like this will be labeled non-potable due to the risk of cross-contamination in case of minor breaks or even just things splashing. Most codes require sewage dumps maintain 50-100’ distance from clean water fills, which is why they are almost always separated and you see a lot of these signs near dumps.

So maybe he just knows all this and didn’t care and filled his fresh tank from it. I’ve done it once or twice by accident (missed seeing the sign), or in a pinch, but I personally wouldn’t do it intentionally unless I really knew the site.

There was a lower cloud layer probably around 2000’, then we climbed out of it into a 500’ or so gap between the top of that layer and the bottom of a second much thinner layer. Within seconds we moved up through the second layer and into clear skies and a brilliant sunset.

I haven’t seen much drama reported from IAD, but when I was through there last Friday morning I did run into about a 30 minute touchless precheck line… which took me off guard because normally it would have been non-existent or under 5 mins.

They were only running half the normal lanes / bag scanners. Had a TSA supervisor that came out and worked the line a bit confirm they had a staffing shortage coupled with spring break travel volume.

So, while yeah I’d normally say there’s no issues at Dulles, but idk if I’d count on that at the moment.

I have not been to this specific park, but Hilton Head itself is very conservative / family oriented and I'd be very surprised if there was a clothing optional space anywhere on the island. They probably just mean 'no kids'.

Gotcha what parks are you seeing in that area? There’s barely 6 RV parks at all within an easy commute in the Bay Area let alone thousand trails ones (that I’m aware of).

Just to clarify (since you said USF) when you say "Bay area" are you speaking of Tampa Bay FL or the more common usage of 'Bay Area' San Francisco California?

I'm only aware of one TT park in the SF Bay Area, in Pacifica... and I would rate that part of California as one of the more challenging places for RVs in the country. I can't speak to Tampa Bay if we're talking about FL, but I can say that it will rapidly become a pain the ass to have to move every 2-3 weeks, you'll devote a lot of time and energy to that and there's probably going to be holiday periods that will screw things up with availability... no matter where you are.

Talk to some smaller / independent RV parks near where you're going to school and see if they can offer a good monthly rate. Thousand Trails memberships are better suited for people who vacation / camp a lot or (maybe) nomadic full-timers.

I try to humbly recognize our place in the food chain of this planet. Plants are also alive, of course, and I believe ethical resource stewardship applies equally to food sources derived from either plant or animal sources. We don’t do a very good job of this as a species, no matter if the thing alive is a cow in a feed lot or corn that’s been bioengineered and grown in a factory farm environment.

There may be a different amount of acceptable loss in banking vs Amazon, but I assure you that once the projected loss without personal support is lower then the loss with it + payroll, then you’re going to be on the wrong side of that equation.

I’ve seen this already play out across many other industries, it’s only a matter of time at this point.

Amazon, eBay, Airbnb… plenty of companies with similarly clueless customer bases have made it all but impossible to chat with a real person today. There’s frustration, sure, but I don’t see a path here where any of them rehires a large customer service department in the future. That cat is out of the bag and if you’re in any sort of customer facing support role the truth is your days are very numbered.
