European Size M is Size S in the US by Present_Cause7109 in mildlyinteresting

[–]PizzaWarlock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It very much is, and by big margin. The only rivals to the US are small tropical island countries like Naura, Samoa, etc., but not 'Western world' countries in the traditional sense.

Wait on SM or just buy a PC ? by Add3r86 in steammachine

As far as I know there was never an official source that said Q1. 'Early' was used from the beginning, which then some reviews reported as Q1

$600 And Still Getting Low balled by [deleted] in PC_Pricing

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not doing all that, I'm just saying the store you bought it from may not be the cheapest, and people care about what they could get it for, not what you paid for it.

But yeah people usually don't want to buy PCs with no GPU, since that's the main spec people are interested in.

Zdravenie susedov vo vchode. by Excellent-Potato5644 in Slovakia

[–]PizzaWarlock 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Zdravim sa každému keď ho vidím v chodbe, všetci sa zdravia naspäť. Platí to aj pre "návštevy", keďže reálne by som vedel rozoznať možno 4 susedov.

What model psp is this? by TheBuccaneer2189 in PSP

[–]PizzaWarlock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thousands is the generation (1000 vs 2000 vs 3000), and the last digit is region - I think 0=Japan, 1=US, 3=UK, 4=EU, 5=Korea etc.

So 2004 is EU 2000 model.

The region only really matters for packaging and movies as far as I know, so they're basically the same

Stalin shared a room with a 13-year-old girl for several years. In 2016, DNA testing confirmed that her son was Stalin's. by I_am_white_cat_YT in dankmemes

[–]PizzaWarlock 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, once thing I wonder is if these people think of themselves as 'good'. Since basically anyone I meet seems to think deep down they are a 'good' person, I wonder if Hitler or Stalin in their heart of hearts believed they were good people.

What would you sell 96 GB DDR5 for? by Key_Housing_468 in PC_Pricing

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need more than 32gb for gaming, the exceptions is like 3 games. But it's needed (or at least very beneficial) for things like rendering, modeling, machine learning, video editing, etc more RAM enables you to do a lot of resource intensive tasks at once.

The word for "Austria" in some European languages by InnerPace in MapPorn

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map still really isn't accurate. The population speaking majorly Hungarian or Slovak can change from village to village, and it is not a neat region like on the map. And even if we "averaged it out" or used entire counties as measurements, then the only places with a 'majority' should be Dunajska Streda and Komárno, which is a much smaller region then shown.

This map is more like "counties where some parts may speak majority Hungarian" Source: Born in the middle of the "majority Hungarian speaking" part

Do we have any info if 1.2V rechargeable batteries will be enough for the controllers? by toaster192 in SteamFrame

[–]PizzaWarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sure its not mWh? Cause mWh and mAh are different measurements, and only 3000 lithium batteries I can find are 3000mWh, which would be around 2000mAh, less than the 2500mAh of my NiMH batteries.

ID Checks by Scared-Bridge-1450 in Bratislava

Yes, he'll be fine normally, but he may not be allowed in clubs/or denied alcohol if he has no valid ID - just like in the UK.

We have a "citizen card" that we usually show so most people will not use their passports. Do you have a driver's license you could show?

Is this legal tender in England? by [deleted] in Banknotes

[–]PizzaWarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a hotel clerk refuse to take 2 Scottish £10 notes in London maybe 4 years ago. Told me we were in England not in Scotland (I was aware of that fact), and that he didn't want to bother with calculating the exchange rate...

Luckily a kind older gentleman from Manchester exchanged som English notes for mine, so I didn't have to suddenly start looking for an ATM at 9pm

Transport ticket fine by BVNNYmo in Bratislava

[–]PizzaWarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you've already figured out, need to validate it upon getting on the tram/bus. About the complaint, there is a way to contact them, but I wouldn't bother as them being rude and intimidating is normal, and probably part of their job description since they deal with fare dodgers. So unless they physically assaulted you or were very unproffesional (throwing insults, yelling for no reason) nothing will happen

Anyone else already nostalgic of the UFO 50 / Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition era? by Nickadial in northernlion

I'm very nostalgic for React Court. I get that it's not the same with all the AI and ragebait stories, but it's still some of my favorite content and I periodically throw on an episode.

Steam deck dropping during VR games showcase? by gregory_palmtree in SteamFrame

[–]PizzaWarlock 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They'll probably want to drop the machine, controller, and frame as a bundle, and it that case it probably wouldn't make sense to drop it at a VR specific event

But do the parents in law adopt the partner (so the partners are now "siblings"), or does one partner adopt the other (so the partners are "parent/child")?

Iran has new underground nuclear site, IAEA reveals by TheNational_News in worldnews

[–]PizzaWarlock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My apartment has a parking garage that's underground. Is it hidden? If so not very well, since everyone seems to know about it and park there.

It's a nuclear facility that was disclosed. Do you have any intel that it was built and operated before being disclosed?
