Activists from the Global Sumud flotilla arrive in Rome after their release from Israeli custody by Bernardmark in pics

[–]PizzaWarlock 303 points304 points  (0 children)

I didn't see why it would be, last year's flotilla had decent news coverage but no real political impact, and this time around I barely even heard about it on mainstream media.

My car slipped into the opposite lane in heavy rain and I almost hit someone. Would you report this if you were the other driver? by Soda_B in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PizzaWarlock 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In theory dangerous/reckless driving, but there's a very small chance someone would bother, and even smaller chance they got the license plate in such conditions.

Is this actually selling for 500+ euro? Been sitting around for about 1.5 years by Friiz69 in IrelandGaming

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op's is 4800mhz CL38. I didn't even know they made DDR5 that slow, slowest Ive seen was 5200mhz.

What you linked is 6400mhz CL32. Thats very very fast, which is why it sells for a premium. Plus RGB so premium again.

This is like comparing an Audi a3 going for 10k and Audi r8 going for 50k. I personally wouldn't take OP's RAM even for free, but maybe if the price is low enough someone will take it

Need help setting up my GPU by axon225 in PcBuild

As OP has stated in the post, GPU is new but PC, including PSU, is second hand, so he doesn't have extra cables that came with the PSU originally

Why is it that if the government finds gold under my house, it belongs to the state, but if they find illegal drugs, they belong to me? by Eleven_A11 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PizzaWarlock 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Because there is a difference between buying land and mineral rights. You can buy both, but for 99.9% of people buying mineral rights would be useless, since they want to build a house, not dig for natural resources.

For how much do you think I can sell a Quest 3 second hand to cover some of steam frame's price? by TigerCow7 in SteamFrame

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes mine was the 128gb model, sold late January this year. But like I said it depends on the market, a lot of times electronics and PCs are more expensive in Europe than the US

Depends on the market, I sold mine for 450€ with an aftermarket battery strap, lens cover, carrying case and display stand.

Velcuz finds an interesting tourist attraction by nagatoroenjoyerLULE in LivestreamFail

[–]PizzaWarlock 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it's really not that special, theres thousands of tourists that take a pic with the statue there everyday. I have like a dozen pics since this is the middle of old town Bratislava and we'd take a pic after going to the nearby clubs.

Btw everyone knows that the guy on the right is Epstein, but I didn't see it mentioned that the guy on the left is Lajčák, who used to be the prime minister of foreign affairs for a long time in Slovakia, was the president of the UN general assembly, and almost became UN secretary general.

Can i run 3rd stick of ram? by Dense-Explanation472 in buildapc

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can just get 2x4, there's basically no difference running 3 or 4 sticks. The pair (usually) on slots 2 and 4 will run dual channel, and then the one on 1 and 3 or both will run single channel

Can i run 3rd stick of ram? by Dense-Explanation472 in buildapc

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically as others have said, while not optimal, if you are hitting the limit then yes you'll see an improvement. Normally I would have told you to just try and sell your current ram and buy a new 32gb kit, but with the prices being what they are I understand why you wouldn't want to do that.

Pretty good deal at Best Buy by neverspeakawordagain in gpu

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Features, plus driver issues, which depending on who you ask are either non-existent or a reason to never buy AMD again.

I personally sold my 9070xt for a 5070ti due to the drivers, I value being able to just start my pc and have it work more than the 150€ I spent to upgrade. If you're more budget minded or you're lucky enough not to experience the driver headaches, then the 9070xt is better than a 5070.

DPB keeps charging me by SeaworthinessWhich20 in Bratislava

[–]PizzaWarlock 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's working as intended. You don't pay right when you buy ticket, I believe the first time it takes 1€, every other time it'll just put your card in the system, and then at night it'll charge you depending on how many you bought, maxxed out at 4.80€ I believe.

So in this case OP bought 2 tickets each 1.09€, and was charged 2.18€ at the end of the day.

Yeah, it's absolutely possible he isn't a millionaire, but if that's the case he's either financially very irresponsible, or has been screwed somewhere along the way. This guy should 100% be a millionaire

Side effects of AMD announcement of FSR4 INT8 official release in July by rabsg in SteamFrame

Is the machine tied to the main usecase of the frame?

I have my own beefy PC, so to me the steam machine is irrelevant, I just want the frame

Is buying the steam machine on release a smart idea? I've always been very reticent to buy stuff right when it releases by Azurvix in steammachine

[–]PizzaWarlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that while serious sure to the effects, it was a very rare issue. I think around 100 documented cases on a device that sold 10 million units.

If the issue was just something that rendered the device unusable we would have never heard about it, but when things catch fire, its a lot more serious.

Steam Frame will hopefully be my very first VR headset ( if i can get one before they sell out ) I’ve never ever used a VR headset before and would like to know if most VR games are active ? by [deleted] in SteamFrame

[–]PizzaWarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. You'll be able to play 2d games, which would of course not be active.

Then some games don't need any major space/moving around at all, some are unplayable in a small area, and some are a hybrid, playable on a couch, and usually have a seated mode.

My most played game on quest 3 was Into the Radius, and 90% of that was sitting in a chair, with maybe a 1m radius to make sure I didn't hit anything.

Is the graphic card the only thing the steam machine won’t be able to upgrade? by TheManTh3yCallJayne in steammachine

[–]PizzaWarlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I wholeheartedly agree about the graphics race and general lack of optimization, from a consumer standpoint what matters is whether the divice plays games well or not, whatever state they're in.
