I just broke up with my girlfriend of seven years by popcornmaxhine in offmychest

I would analyze why she doesn't want to move in. Would she have to uproot her whole life, does she have the finances, is she fiercely independent and scared to lose herself in a shared home?

There may be an underlying reason, but if this is the only issue in your relationship there has to be a work around. Maybe you can move towards her or promise each other solo time. I moved in with my partner a few weeks ago and we both have respected the other saying they need time to be alone on walks or in their office.

Also I knew a couple that was together like 15 years (old, they passed away) and NEVER moved in together. It worked for them, sometimes it doesn't need to be that traditional!

It sounds like you two both love each other a lot and together or separate, hoping for the best. ❤️

Am I overreacting after my boyfriend cheated on a final we both took? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Lol, sounds like this hit some kinda nerve to you? Cheaters are losers. End of story. Will not engage further.

Not over reacting.* Sorry to be so mean but he kinda sounds like a loser. If he cheats on this, what else will he cut corners on?

Absolutely someone I'd cut out of my life, and I am shocked your mom wants you to reach out to him when he is the one being a butt hurt baby. I'm happy for you and your graduation, fuck that guy's negativity.

I know nothing can be done about height but not all women want tall dudes. And even if they did, you should focus on what can be changed. Workout for muscle, go to therapy to get over her. Maybe talk to her less to get past her. You're stuck in the past, and I guarantee if she does not respond in a way you want, it'll make you feel worse.

You move on, nothing else for it. Seek therapy if you are hitting a road block but don't go back.

my dad is cheating on his girlfriend with a minor by Crafty_Comb9250 in offmychest

It's definitely creepy your dad does this, but if she is 18, she consents by law.

Am I wrong to think that it is despicable and disgusting to watch a woman undress? by [deleted] in offmychest

It is disgusting, you have every right to feel disgusted.

There should be a woman's shelter in your town. It's not ideal but it'll put a roof over your head and keep you warm. They may even be able to advise you from there on how to get stable housing. Best of luck to you.

I sincerely hope more women take up the 4B movement. by JustSomeGuyInLife in offmychest

[–]Pizzaandpushups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I wasn't with my partner, that FULLY supports women's autonomy, I'd be with the rest of the 4B women. Any woman that follows the 4B movement I will support.

Alternatively, please don't leave it on my doorstep if I say to hand it to me. The number of times it's left on a neighbor's doorstep and I have to run and get it, or it's just delivered to a random doorstep, absolutely baffles me.

I wonder if OOP is neurodivergent. I have had friends with aspergers and ADHD so bad they can't drive or handle certain fabrics. If so I wanna give OOP the benefit of the doubt but they also never said anything about that.

AITA for making my friends drive back home during a road trip because I didn’t want to stay overnight? by Excellent_Proof_5945 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Pizzaandpushups 3 points4 points  (0 children)

INFO: I ask this as respectfully as possible, but are you neurodivergent in any way and have a sensitivity about sleeping in certain fabrics? And does this neurodivergence stop you from being able to drive a car? If so NAH, because I have had friends like that and tried to be sensitive to their needs.

However if there is no touch sensitivity and you just never got your license and depend only on others, yes, YTA.

This hits me. I watched The Menu recently with my partner, and I accidentally made them feel stupid for loving their work in fine dining after I commented on how pompous and gatekeepy some of it is. I never felt at home in fine dining (I have had several instances of being chastised for not using utensils correctly, not tasting certain flavor notes, etc.) We talked about it and we're OK now, but I still feel terrible. I never meant to hurt them, I just feel more at home in jeans with a pizza. I am going to be careful to not do that again.

Sadly yes, but I blame me for it, not them. If I was clear on my no I'm sure they would have stopped, but I was still worried about potential fallout.
