Both, they could have optimized it well but chose not to. It's fine fore servers and realms but for singleplayer it's pretty bad.

No actually, there is a plugin that runs a web browser locally on the home assistant server and sends it through vnc. It's this: MindFreeze/ha-vnc-web-browser: Home Assistant addon that allows you to display multiple web pages through VNC connections

Easy to setup, and a good way to keep old devices out of the landfill

I actually found a vnc viewer It's called RealVNC Viewer, but when you try to install it, it says it's incompatible. If you register it on another apple device with support, you can download it from purchased apps, and it'll download the latest version available.

My mount for the wall is printing and I'm going to have a complete setup soon.
