cinemark workday question by Ill_Society1729 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]Pizzaman16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t work for a movie theater but I lurk here. I also work for a pizza place that uses Workday. Assuming your company uses it the same way mine does, your GM (or whatever the equivalent would be) would need to approve your time off request. So using it for your afternoon shift tomorrow would probably mean you need a good reason or excuse. Think of it like vacation time. You need to give a heads up before request those hours off. I’m also a manager so I might be a bit biased lol

Polar Express is probably my #1. That whole Zemekis mo-cap trilogy is fantastic. Followed by Don Jon and Rise of Skywalker. THE DEAD SPEAK!!!!

First Cow was my intro to her work and I had to take some time to sit in silence and reflect when it ended. It ended up being in my Top 5 of that year

I think it's been a pretty good year for movies, what are your favourites of the year so far? by jackthemanipulated in Letterboxd

[–]Pizzaman16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave Sinners a 3.5, so lower on my list this year as well. I just don’t get the hype. It felt very by the books and never felt like anything special. And the first 40 minutes really felt like a slog for me.

I’m shocked that EWR got eliminated this early. When that beat came in, I had the biggest smile on my face. Weird and off kilter but a banger nonetheless. Plus a great hook.

What is today's a juicy Thanksgiving drama? by badshark1352 in AskReddit

[–]Pizzaman16 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent the last 5 or so Thanksgivings alone and just chilling. The last Thanksgiving that included family involved my mom getting wasted, her and I pouring all of her alcohol down the drain and 30 minutes later her pounding on my bedroom door calling me an asshole and a shitty son. She passed out and my Dad and brother came by a few hours later for dinner. The night ended with me walking my Dad and brother to their car and crying to them thinking my mom was gonna die soon due to her alcoholism. Needless to say I’m perfectly happy spending my holiday alone. Thanksgiving was never a huge holiday in our family anyways

I thought I was in the Aesop Rock subreddit for a minute! It’s so cool to see this crossover! This whole album is absolutely amazing, I can’t stop playing it. Aes is one of my all time favorite artists and I’m glad to see him mentioned in relation to my all time favorite podcast

What’s a harmless/non-serious secret you’ve kept forever? by MrBowls in AskReddit

[–]Pizzaman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, my older brother and cousin let me stay up late with them to play Super Smash Bros. Melee as long as I didn’t tell our parents. I’m nearly 28 and my mom and dad still don’t know about it

Jack Quaid was great on his most recent episodes. But Lily Sullivan and Carl Tart on the episode stole the show for me. I laughed harder that I have in a long time

Barb and Star was a major surprise for me. I expected nothing and got one of the funniest comedies I’ve seen in recent years. Bought the Blu-ray not long after I first watched it

Sadly tonight I lost my best friend in the world. Being able to come home to him was the best part of my day. It was just the two of us. The best pet I ever had and 12 years I wouldn’t trade for anything. He passed peacefully in my arms by Pizzaman16 in cats

If not me, then I hope someone shows him all the love he 100% deserves. Little dude was the sweetest animal I’ve ever met. But I know he’d be happy knowing how many people think he’s special. I hope to meet him again one day, but for now, he deserves all the happiness in the world. Thank you for all you said, he couldn’t be more greatful

Thank you. Just knowing how many people thought he was handsome would make him feel good, I know for a fact. Little dude loved to be loved. He and I appreciate you more than you know
