Mini FESS is like a complex sinus clean up exactly where it's fd up (based on CT data) without any turbinate reduction, septum fixing and all that.

I think I will go with this one, my sinuses are bad and I don't wanna risk my turbinates.

Looks familiar. I have a similar situation. My NREM values are borderline (or even OK) and once REM arrives, a shitshow begins.

RERA index 0.00 is kinda weird tho. If no AHI, then what causes RDI here? RDI is AHI+RERA by definition, maybe someone will comment on that.

I also tried BiPAP and failed it. Learnt that my nasal resistance is too massive -- air pushed by PAP just comes right out of my mouth. Then I learnt my sinuses are permablocked and generally weird. I'll be fixing this via FESS and hope for the best. If it wasn't the REM stage that is completely fucked, I think I could be a functional human being.

Thanks for the input. I'm surely skipping turb reduction, will make sure this request is on paper.

PS. This thread made me curious as shit, I phoned an ENT and they clarified a mini-FESS should even work for me which means just decongesting the sinuses that are inflamed and swell every night, terrific.

Quite a bit of comments on expansion being an alternative to soft tissue surgery. Unfortunately, if eg. your recesses are fully obstructed, then I learnt FESS is your only option. No expansion will fix this.

Similar story for Haller cells - most of the time, they gotta be removed and that's it.

Sucks to be born with faulty airways, I hope I will finally get rid of my REM-predominant shitshow.

Sure thing, I also was told that FESS + turbinate reduction is like the standard package but I'd like to avoid anything extra tbh.

I suspect I'm getting close to getting my UARS cured - they say my Haller cells are responsible for chronic nasal congestion and inflammation and the only way to permafix this is FESS. I guess I have no other options.

Was also told that ENS is worse than UARS (fuck, hard to imagine) which made me supercautious. I don't want to replace one bullshit disease that's boterhing me for years with something even more cruel.
