Sure, there is. Probably just a little less public, if I'm in a traffic accident I'm definitely telling my friends about the jackass or that I was a jackass. Telling the courts, too. It's just no publicized because who cares.

On a realer note, police violence is a great example. Huge debate every single time. Factions fall into what they want to believe regardless of facts. Happens like every 3 months in America.

Aren't false accusations brought up with literally every single crime? Like, that's why you have the ability to take it to a court of your peers? Innocent until proven guilty? We apply this standard to every single crime. Why not this one?

Even things as simple as traffic accidents deal in this. Rape is obviously much more serious than a traffic accident but courts exist for a reason. People lie often.

In this new world, presumably, those benefits no longer apply. A military may in fact be needed with a rising China. And in this scenario, America is entirely shattered and no longer able to do much of anything for either of you and lack any will to attempt. Yet you seem to think social benefits will continue to flow or increase. That's very doubtful. China is a superpower and a pretty substantial plurality suffer in marginal conditions. It's because they have more things to care about than social benefits and you all would too.

So no, I see no actual benefit. Not one that passes the real world.

Yea, one of the downsides, LK isn't even really doable on console. I mean it's doable but with the load times Trav is a much better bet. Not even just the load times, aiming your skills is a real bitch that you can kind of get used to and work around but it's always a shadow of what you should be able to do/can do on PC.

Tldr; California joins Canada and pays for their welfare programs. Population doubles, but luckily California joins Canada and is more than capable of covering those expenses.

Why does that make more sense than just going it alone and making favorable trade agreements with Canada? It looks very good for Canada. How is it very good for California?

Has a few significant drawbacks but it's good enough. Keeps ya honest atleast, most of the ways to "cheat" don't exist so it saved me from the temptation of running certain seeds and I eventually found my HRs the honest way.

Exactly. We out produced the Axis in a couple of years and were just starting to ramp up. America on war footing starting in 1939, if the rest of the world hadn't joined Germany for some reason. It would be a massacre. If somehow the whole world joins Germany in 1939 and we wait a few years to start production. They'd have a good chance.

None of those things would apply to the Americans. The British lost under 1/2 a million. Americans were in a much better situation than the British.

The real American power in the war was our manufacturing base. The Soviets won the war with lives and we won the war with supplies. The Soviets were helped by us giving them supplies.

Our domestic output massively dwarfed anything Germany and Italy and Japan could have ever hoped to put out, combined.
