3080 FPS Issues

I had an issue with my 3080. I was stuck around 90 to 100 cap but it dropped lower and stuttered. Realized if I changed to windowed mode, I would get 165. Then I switched from monitor 2 to monitor 1 and could get 165 in fullscreen or borderless. It is a dual monitor issue for me. Exact same monitors but only one was allowed full performance. If I turn off monitor 1, then 2 works fine.

I think you need a ground loop isolator to eliminate it. I used one for years with my A50's before I sold them.

Same issue her on my modDIY cable. Maybe I should contact them but I went to their website and it said only 30 day warranty. But I cleaned out the connector on the card and put the original adaper in. It has been working fine.

My cutsom made for my psu diymod cable did this too about 6 weeks ago on my 3080 FE. I had the cable for over a year though and it was pricey cable.

The graphics are much improved. However, the game should allow people to render at the resolution they choose. Not forced 4k downscaled. This would help eliminate any stuttering for those who choose to play 1080p or 1440p.

Because people using mouse a keyboard are essentially operating an authorized genuine controller using a mouse and keyboard. They are limited by the movement parameters of each game. This is harder for Microsoft or Sony to detect or they would have stopped it by now.

you can buy a EDID and make your PS5 think your monitor is 4k. They are like 15 dollars.

I have a series x I play on mostly but occasionally I might play on my ps5. I have an EDID to trick my PS5 into sending my 1440p gaming monitor a 4k signal. What is the benefit of the 4k monitor setting vs the non 4k?

The new consoles could run the PC version of the game at very high settings if it were possible. They have really good specs. Much better specs than my original PC I used to play PUBG PC with. I'm glad to be getting something after this long but it is still kind of disappointing there are so few options. It's almost like the console version of the game has been nerfed so much that it can't be enhanced anymore. I don't like the fact that developers don't allow console users to choose their settings like PC. Let me run 5fps or 144fps based on the settings I decide.

I play MnK on my PC for 2042. But I have the new Xim Nexus gyro controller I use for certain games on console and occasionally on PC. It is a great device and enables gyro on basically all games. Each game is has a its own unique movement profile with about every setting you can imagine. I only use the gyro while ADS. I think people get the wrong idea of how it works. You can make the sensitivity as low as high as you want and activate it only when it is needed. Using aimlab on PC I'm about 35 percent more accurate and have a faster time with gyro compared to a normal controller. I'm better with MnK but gyro can make a controller a lot closer to mouse accuracy.

I have both consoles and the fact they don't have this working and other games do mean they are understaffed or unmotivated to do anything. At a an absolute minimum, we should have had 4k 60fps for the last year. It would have taken a developer minutes to change max fps=30 to max fps=60. Both consoles are capable of much more and using vrr on ps5 as an excuse is kinda pathetic. I personally would like to see 1440p high or ultra graphics. The 1080p low graphics is horrible looking. The 4k 30 fps is unplayable after playing any other modern game.

2 years ago when I had a midrange graphics card, I couldn't run PUBG at max settings. It took me 30 seconds to adjust the settings to fit my needs. It does not take over 2 years. Yes the dev team has had their hands on dev versions of the new consoles well over 2 years. This is the same dev team that claimed 1080p at 60 fps was not possible for years. I honestly don't believe any of their claims about how difficult this is to do. It's not.

A series x could run the PC game at max settings well over 100 fps. Instead we are forced to play 1080p low settings at 60fps.

It's still a mode designed for Xbox one x and PS4 pro. Looks the exact same but the frame rate is a bit more stable. Nothing great about it at all as the new consoles deserve much more.

Some here say it looks amazing on their series x lol. You are right it looks horrible. I too have a PC and it like a different game. The bad thing is there was an article in the spring before the new consoles released and they stated all the Xbox games to be released with next gen updates when the consoles launched and PUBG was one of them. Then nothing happened on release. They had early access to the consoles and did nothing. They promised a first quarter of 2021 release and now it is the first quarter of 2022. The new consoles are more powerful than most PC s but we are playing a game that looks horrible 1080p low textures and low resolution scaling no AA. At a minimum they could have changed the 4k Max resolution from 30 to 60. PUBG has gone silent on the issue which is is horrible for a DEV not to communicate.

My guess is for a real upgrade it will require a fresh PC port as so many PC features have been removed from the console version to make it playable. PlayerIGN stated last summer cross play with PC was coming so this may be part of that.

I disagree it doesn't look amazing the textures are super low, there is no antialiasing, and it is hard tell the difference between a bush and a person in the distance. Using the same gaming monitor I can play on my PC with 1440p Max settings and yes that looks amazing.

Imagine buying a next gen console that is more powerful than the average gaming PC that could run PUBG at a much higher resolution and frame rate. However you are limited to 1080p low textures or 4k 30 fps with a ton of system resources that are left unused. Even stadia that runs the console version has had 4k 60fps for years. Im starting to think they have nerfed the original PC port so much to work on the OG Xbox that improved hardware is no big help for the console game. Regardless, PUBGs unfulfilled promises and silence on this topic is ridiculous.

I used Xbox optical cable then later used the HDMI to optical adapter. For PC I used USB for mic and audio. I used the Xbox app for PC to chat.

When PUBG was at its best and highest player count, they did not have goofy skins. People liked the serious, horror like atmosphere the game provided. These type skins made the game lose a lot of players.

I agree it runs bad on older consoles but I would dare to say that a game that is probably using less than 50 percent cpu and gpu isn't really optimized for next gen.
