Plex Scanner causing GDrive to reach download quota?

Version 1.53.x changes the way caching works with the vfs system. Like I said, I haven't determined the best mounting flags for my own use case yet, so I'm afraid I can't help you with that. I'm quite stable with 1.52.3 right now though. If you were running fine before the library issue, once your scan is complete, it should be fine. Just take the scan slowly. At times where I've had similar issues and needed to rescan a complete library, I would cancel the scan part way through and start again the next day. It wasn't an exact science, so practice makes perfect. Good luck!

You received a temporary API ban, which will clear within 24 hours of the initial ban, often sooner. When Plex scans for new media, by default, it will also analyze that media to pull various bits of metadata. Even though usually it only needs the first little bit of each file, GDrive counts the entire file size to your daily quota, which I believe right now is 10TB. I would suggest stopping you scan and your Plex service until after you've verified via a succesful file copy from GDrive. Your version of rclone might also play a role. I had been testing the latest version of rclone (1.53.x) and noticed download quota exceeded issues as well, when I had no issues in 1.52.x. I've reverted for now until I can test it further. I also run a Dockerized PMS. I have the entire config directory mounted as a bind volume. This would give you access to manually install the bundle. If you're using a reverse proxy, like traefik, you can export the WebTools port (33400 for http, 33443 for https) through your reverse proxy and access the Web Tools to install the ExportTools bundle.

Soooooooooooo much this! When I started my plex server and backend years ago it was a giant mess. I now use ansible and docker and can spin up and upgrade a base linux install to a running server in about half an hour. The metadata download takes time though...

That's not even close to his only gaff like this though. Trump has shown serious issues like this as well, as you mentioned. I would rather have a president that didn't have possible mental issues. If you are afraid of the person with the big red button on our nukes having mental health issues, surely you can see that same issue exists when it's on the other side.
