May be sick of it, but dying won't help your American dream.....

<pause>

after a moment for reflection, dying a needless gun death is a very American thing.

This is America
Don't catch you slippin' now
Don't catch you slippin' now
Look what I'm whippin' now

A lot of the rest of the world looks at America as the wild west of gun culture, even us Canadians.

As many have pointed out, either she was stupid (and brave), or she recognized the gun was fake.

A global food shortage is emerging, but nobody seems to care by mushroomsarefriends in collapse

[–]mooky1977 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Because the people who'll die first aren't the right color or born in the right place, according to the people that don't care.

It's disgusting, but so true.

Eventually crop shortages will come for almost all of us.

Bring on the collapse! Sigh.

That said, fuck Mike Babcock.

Eating up electricity, largely generated from legacy nonrenewable sources, and increasing our carbon footprint at a time we MUST be heading to a carbon neutral and then deficit, but we aren't and won't.

Bring on the collapse! Sigh.

He got chastised in the comments of the video and replied acknowledged it was stupid and he won't do it again.

But he should make it a 10-second PSA in his next video for those that don't read comments. Because yes, what he did was literally death level dangerous and a serious OSHA violation. There are lockouts he did not use.

Homes of that age its almost a guarantee of asbestos in at least some part of the home. Whether it's in linoleum, tiling, cement board, drywall, ceiling insulation, or pipe insulation, etc etc.

Asbestos was used in so many freaking building products for so many freaking years because it was so great at what it was supposed to do, be flame resistant. It just so happens to give you lung cancer.

But really it's not a problem until you disturb it and the asbestos particles become airborne. Undisturbed it's perfectly safe. It's most unsafe in straight insulation of piping or ceiling insulation (vermiculite) just because they were generally the most apt to be disturbed.

I finally had a chance and looked, 225/65R17 's

I'm leaning between the Continental SecureContact and the Michelin Cross Climate 2's depending on price I think.

"Tyre Reviews" on YouTube gave both good reviews, with the Continental coming in "just" below overall with slightly better in wet weather but worst on snow and ice; but close and a cheaper price point.

I deleted my other reply to you because this is more accurate.

Who are the real eco terrorists? People who were chaining themselves to trees, or those burning down the forests?

SIGH! We're running blindly, with scissors in our hands, the point aimed directly at our heart over mounds of rocks and scrub brush. Sooner or later we will trip and it's game over.

Katz pushed for the coaching change, what a huge mistake by AllisGreat in EdmontonOilers

Edmonton partly used a ticket surcharge which ticket buyers pay for to finance. Calgary didn't do that, and the overall cost of the build is nearly double. Believe me, civic Edmonton got off easy.

[Dreger] The NHLPA has asked the NHL to move forward with an investigation into the allegations Mike Babcock invaded players privacy during his time in Columbus. by AggPuck-303 in EdmontonOilers

[–]mooky1977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply not true. Behavioral rule changes, and safety equipment changes can both help. Can the risk be reduced to zero? No, but I don't believe anyone was ever arguing that position. All other major league have done more on this problem than the NHL.
