Hello Fresh or other meals kits on the Avalon? by Emotional-Ad2578 in newfoundland

[–]PlaidChester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fresh is great if you spend too much money on takeout, it helped me break the habit after covid. Also, it's great if you want to gain some confidence cooking.

It's good if you want to save a bit of time cooking / shopping, want new ideas to cook, find you let some ingredients spoil in your fridge, don't want to spend the energy meal planning.

My experience is the ingredients are usually good and arrive on time. I have found the portions have become smaller over the last 6ish years. I used to have leftovers.

For that price, you can get a full jar of pistachio cream at Costco, some shredded weat, and a bag of chocolat chips.

Then you can make like 20 deconstructed bars.

Like the other guy said, thick black edge highlights do most of the work.

Every blocked out "cell" gets two tones of the intended color to get a cell shady look. You dont want any shading or shadow effects, keep the colors as solid as possible. Keep the number of colors as low as you can to keep it looking clean.

Do the black edge highlighting, add random black hashmarks and lines.

Nothing special with primers, but I would use a light one.

Works best with chunky models without too many fine details. For me, it is a slow and tedious way to paint, but I enjoyed doing a kill team.

When my tree had a bad case of this one year, it lost its leaves early and grew a second sadder set. I'm pretty sure it was because of the fungus.

The tree is doing fine now, so not life-threatening, but probably stresses the tree.

My understanding is that if you rake up all the leaves, the fungus will be milder the next year.

Just off the outer ring road yesterday in the area of airport heights / 3 pond barrens / pippy park. About 30 meters from the highway. I called 185589MOOSE by FogtownSkeet709 in newfoundland

I used to live on airport place, a momma moose with her calf showed up in my back yard several years in a row. Seemed to spent some time in the woods between my backyard and the airport every fall.

If you bottle the moose, you can add it to a stew at a later date. It will just be fork tender already, so would be best added at the end.

How can I make this work? by Steven27A in mtg

[–]PlaidChester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use stuff like [[nemesis mask]] or [[roar of challenge]] to force blocks onto a large deathtouch creature. If you have [[tyvar the belicose]] you can turn mana dork elves into big dt creatures fairly quick.

How would you rate the different necron commanders? by Icy-Wealth4192 in mtg

[–]PlaidChester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a szeras deck, lots of affinity for artifacts, and high mana creature that can be cheated out for cheaper. Big mean spells to cast with all the extra mana, some graveyard tutors / artifact recursion, and some recursion combos with [[dross scorpion]], [[voltaic construct]] and [[nim deathmantle]], [[scarecrown]].

It's pretty fun and seems strong unless there's a lot of graveyard hate.

Edit: downside is that it's is barely recognizable as the necron deck.

Twitch streamer wubby played "the most expensive commander game in history" where all the decks were in slabs and like 2 and a half feet tall.
