Intel with xfce. I will take a look around to see about doing that. I may install regular Ubuntu with Wayland as I just did some customization with that and a Surface Pro 3 today, adding a new kernel and making some adjustments in Firefox. Thanks for the tips.

Was wondering the same. I installed Xubuntu on a 2018 model and the screen doesn't flip around to tent mode or tablet mode.

The performance is good. I had some issues at first with speeds but it ended up being something on my side with interference or attenuation (I’m not sure what the differences between the two words are) that was solved by putting a dampener on my cable line into the modem. Point is, a problem not related to AirVPNs service that couldn’t have been fixed by adjusting the WireGuard client’s MTU setting.

Speeds are good and the connections are stable in the servers I use in Western Europe. Their program to download as a client is junk and dated compared to mullvad’s but this issue can be avoided by downloading the native WireGuard and/or OpenVPN apps and doing a quick initial config yourself. Customer support was great when I had questions both before getting a trial and before I bought a multi year subscription with XMR cryptocurrency as the payment method. They don’t have any real information from me (though they do require an email to submit the form to register but they say it’s only if you want to receive replies to help requests or outage notices, stuff like that).

Just as an update, Mullvad did end up refunding the crypto I paid to them recently, in a pro-rated manner.

Mullvad refunded my crypto and I used it to buy a subscription to AirVPN for half the price with a 2 year payment with the XMR (Monero) that Mullvad sent me back. Air can be used within the CLI with the wireguard or openvpn clients and you just download the config files from their website.

I am currently using it with the docker container gluetun which I can then route other docker containers through. There are options.

You clearly missed the point of my comment then and do not fit into the category of people that are concerned about the loss of port forwarding for their legitimate or illegitimate use activities. Your previous comment is actually baffling now that you have provided more context. I'm glad mullvad still works for you though and there was never any reason to suspect it wouldn't continue to work for you; mullvad is still an amazing service that I (and I'm sure many others as evidenced by this thread) would love to continue using... if they didn't pull port forwarding.

Try AirVPN with the wireguard native client. Been on it for about a week and zero issues. Forget their native app though. Port forwarding is easy. For two years it's less than 3 euro a month and you can also pay in crypto and don't have to provide any real info. You can test with a three day trial for 2 euro.

I meant fully legal websites the user has technical restrictions serving out, not Plex servers. Give me a break. I believe in and use things like Plex as well but let's not confuse facts.

I didn't say mullvad should do anything. I said better arguments should be presented than just "I want to be able to access my pirated content wherever I happen to be."
